The Dragons see Watmough as a potential replacement for Jason Ryles who is likely to leave the club when his contratc expires. However the Sea Eagles are keen to lock up Watmough to a new contract as soon as possible. "Choc (Watmough) is a priority for the club, a local junior," Manly chief executive Grant Mayer said. "We want to keep him." In further concerning news Manly winger Chris Hicks, could also be bound for England after receiving interest from Warrington, Hull Kingston Rovers and Huddersfield. While Newcastle are also targeting both Ryles and Hicks but will struggle to match the cash available from Super Legaue. The club is still talking to Travis Burns and Brent Kite, with Michael Monaghans departure the club is in a significantly stronger bargaining position and it is hoped that all players will remain at the club.
