Manly great Steve Menzies is reportedly set to play on next NRL season and is prepared to take a pay cut to stay at the Sea Eagles.
Newspaper reports said the 33-year-old backrower was planning on negotiating a new contract next week.
"I'll speak to (Manly coach) Des (Hasler) but definitely I want one more year," Menzies said.
The veteran has been named to come off the bench for tomorrow night's clash against Wests Tigers at Brookvale Oval.
He said he was ready to take home a lower pay packet to go around for another season.
"I'd consider it for sure," he said.
"There might be something we could work out."
