    I think when considering Tom, he is only eight games back after two injury interrupted seasons. Comparisons with his 2021 form might be more valid at the end of the regular season, or the finals, depending on his fitness/injury status and how Manly have performed.

    There was a report that they had sought advice from a solicitor (or barrister) who has considerable NRL judiciary experience. I interpret that irrespective of what was said post-match, that they must be confident of getting a favourable result, based in part (at least) on legal advice.

    I think it’s a good strategy. Accept that Haumole was ‘in the wrong’. Thus assessing (gambling responsibly;)) that as a result, the judiciary might be more amenable to downgrading the charge against DCE.
