THEY weigh a combined 226kg and have the ability to rip any game apart. Manly’s Tony “T-Rex” Williams, and the Warriors’ Manu “The Beast” Vatuvei are two very large footballers.

On Saturday night, at Brookvale Oval, the two wingers will go head-to-head in a tussle which could certainly decide the round 24 NRL contest.

For Williams, it’s a chance to show supporters he’s capable of matching it with one of the best, in a game Manly must win.

“It’s probably the biggest challenge for me this year,” Williams, who weighs 114kg, said on Wednesday.

“I’m just going to treat it like another game, he’s just another player. He did look pretty good on the weekend with a hat-trick, I’m just going to have to match that and limit his opportunities. He’s scored a few tries this year and I’ve scored a few. It’s a big test for me this weekend.”

The powerful Aucklander is also relishing the prospect of taking on his slightly heavier opponent.

“He’s a big man, and has been in really good form,” the 112kg Vatuvei said.

“Every week you come up against good players and it’s no different with Tony.”

Manly five-eighth Kieran Foran said Williams will need no extra revving to get one over Vatuvei.

“He will not be lacking any motivation,” Foran said.

“Both are rather big lads, I think they will beat each other up on that wing.”

Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler said the contest will be vital.

“It should be a very large channel running up and down that side of the field,” he said.

“They are two very big players and the fans are in for a real spectacle. Both players have scored a lot of tries and both players are influential.”
