    Players for next year.

Anyone know much about Zac Fulton. Seen he's been playing a bit at lock but I have not been able to watch him. Is he looking the goods? Where would he play? In relation to young up and coming dummy halves Jayden Berrell looks very good (although he is 26 so wouldn't say he's young) and I was...

    Walker

You would think that if Fainu comes back then he will either play 80mins or share hooking duties with Croker. As such that means that Lawton can fill the 'Walker' role. With a whole preseason for it I think he could be just as effective there.

    First 20 minutes

I have posted about this in other threads but thought that it could be worth while creating it's own thread. All through my junior footy it was always drilled into me that a game cannot be won in the first 20 but it definitely can be lost. It is no secret that we are not great starters...

How to help Tom in "Tough" top 4 games

Fantastic post and some great analysis there! I think that the recipe that the Storm unveiled last year was a pretty simple one. Shooting off the line and giving Tommy and our playmakers zero time. This was seen last week with Penrith. I would think that an easy fix to this is playing through...

    Pre-Game Roosters v Manly [Round 2, 2022]

Like everyone here I was very disappointed with last week. But a week is a long time in rugby league and I choose to be optimistic. Although Roosters will, like us be eager for a bounce back I really struggled to see who was leading their team against the Knights, it is easy to forget that Keary...

The Manly forward pack are Soft

Regardless of the various new rule changes the fundamental rule that the team with the best two forwards will go a long way in winning the game remains. Unfortunately, we miss that pack leader such as JFH to lead from the front. There are a lot of ifs and maybes in our pack but no clear leader...

How will this years top 8 fare in 2022??

Rabbits will definitely struggles as has been mentioned here without Reynolds and new coach. Penrith will still be a top force but I think next year will be their real test to maintain this form for a third year while also backing up a premiership. I think they will also need to balance origin...

    Our style of play

I think it’s fair to say that 2021 has seen manly play an attacking brand of football which has set games alight and has been a joy to watch. At the same time this style of footy has brought costly errors which have been detrimental in our finals campaign. I am curious as to what your thoughts...

    Does Fainu walk back in?

I have been a big fan and supporter of fainu for a long time and would love for him to come back. Got to give croker credit for his season though. And in regards to tonight, with the platform he received no dummy half would have been able to make a big impact on this game.

Tonight is the night the premiership window opened.

Couldn’t agree more. The younger players in particular looked tired towards the end of the season but would have learnt a lot from these defeats. With more young players on the up the future is bright. Bring on 2022!

Game Day: Souths v Manly [Finals Week 3, 2021]

Enjoy the game everyone. Hopefully the lads do us proud. Up Manly!

    Dally M Medal 2021

The Dally M has always had a clear issue with the judges. I heard Finchy talking about it and his belief was that the judges should remain the same and should watch the game without commentary and external voices but this would be very difficult to do. Regardless, Tommy for 2021 Dally M

The Youth at Manly side is Super Exciting !!

This is indeed exciting times. I now hope that Des will be able to earmark these players before blooding them through over the next couple seasons. I am hoping we can handle our youth like Penrith have and not like the Broncs.

    The Fainu and Trbojevic Dynasty

Agreed. Harper gets better every week, was impressed with his attacking footy last year but his defence has been phenomenal since entering the team this year. Similarly, although I love the idea of Josh and Fainu being our halves pairing don't know if either are a natural 7.
