    Soft underbelly

Three (3) of the Raiders 4 tries were directly off individual mistakes that you would not see in a month of Sundays. AND those mistakes came from our "Big 3" boys. Having said that, I do think that at least 3 of our forwards did not aim up so yes definitely something soft there on Friday. All...

    Soft underbelly

Watch the game again. Josh's post contact metres have been skinny so far this season and barely registered on the weekend. If you don't believe me check the NRL stats. He does NOT make the "Top 50" list for post contact metres across the comp. We have 4 guys that make this list in Paseka...

    Koula Extended

Not sure what the coaching strategy or thinking is around Tolu. Clearly underutilised and seriously wasted thus far. The kid is arguably the fastest guy in the league with a great sidestep and very good defence but we only see him used as a battering ram rucking it out from our 20. There does...

    Soft underbelly

Not sure it is a "soft underbelly" that is our problem. The main cause imo is that the individuals in the team seem to play to the standard of the opposition rather play to a standard. Subtle but massive difference. Penrith and Melbourne for example play to a level standard each week...

    Pre-Game Manly V Raiders [Round 9, 2024]

I am only one hour north of Sydney. Blue skies yesterday and slightly overcast today. Lets hope the rain holds off for us "flat track bullies"!!!

    State of Origin Team Predictions

@BOZO what if the majority of the Blues were Manly players?? Who would you go for??? Now there is a test of your devotion!!!

Freddie made that mistake big time. I am not sure Madge will make some mistake.

    State of Origin Team Predictions

I think we potentially lose 5 players to Origin this year. 3 definite in Cherry, Turbo and Jake with 2 smokeys in Taniela and Guac. Imagine Haas and Taniela in that front row with Guac, Martin and Yeo backing. No excuses from the Blues with that.

    Paul Kent in trouble again

Now that he has been charged, will be interesting to see how he plays this through the court. He needs a good lawyer because if convicted then I think this will almost certainly torpedo his career.

    Jake Arthur

Only a few weeks away I suspect. Look forward to seeing him play in the 1sts. I thought he did a good job earlier this year during the trials and I really like how he steered our team around the park.

    Nathan Brown Impact?

Yep. Definitely become a crowd favourite. If he can stay fit and healthy, I think he puts us in a "top 4" category this year and if we make the GF, I think he goes a long way to winning his 1st premiership and our 1st since 2011. Smart buy on our part but hats off to guy for his hard work in the...

Sounds like you are warming to him Leonard??

    2026 recruitment & retention

That is correct Maxta. The $400k you mentioned is the finalisation of Josh's 2024 contract commitments and part of the overall $1m agreed termination deal. The balance of the termination deal will be paid depending on cap and funding space. Could potentially be this year but most likely next...

    Paul Kent in trouble again

Watching the video I would say there is a strong chance he will also get charged by Police with Affray. Will be interesting to see how he then pleads. Just from the Video, I don't think there is any doubt about affray so his best shot might be to plead Guilty but with mitigating circumstances...

    Pre-Game Manly V Raiders [Round 9, 2024]

I don't see this combination in the back row as a problem Al. We have more than enough firepower throughout the rest of the team to score points so that's not an issue for mine. It's keeping the middle and the edges tight in defence that we really need. On this note, would not be surprised to...

    Pre-Game Manly V Raiders [Round 9, 2024]

I think that would be the obvious change. However not surprised to see Humphreys in there instead of GCKT as he could also cover that halfback position should JA falter.

    Pre-Game Manly V Eels [Round 8, 2024]

The ref in the Roosters / Saints game yesterday obviously did not get the same memo on forward passes that our ref got last week. I counted at least 6 forward passes from Saints that did not get pinned. Even the mighty Gus Gould picked that up in commentary. We got pinned I think 3 times last...

    Pre-Game Manly V Eels [Round 8, 2024]

That's close to a premiership winning pack and bench right there. The concern has been and still is our defence out wide. Surely that is more than obvious and fixable. Someone please say yes it is!!!

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

Paulo has been in the squad for most of our games so I assume he stays. Been steadily improving with each game so I think Talau unfortunately will miss to make way for Saab. On the forwards, I would start the Bulley who I thought had a great game last week against the big warriors pack. Great...

    Pre-Game Warriors V Manly [Round 6, 2024]

Obviously a brilliant diversionary tactic to lull the Worriers into a false sense of security. You can see them relax as Woodsie trots out there!!!
