Watching the Storm was actually quite impressive at the dummy half position. This must be rectified. I see why Manase was seen as the solution and such a shame that went so wrong.

    Potentially true!!!! @:(

    Lodge, you Monster

With the English pound being nearly double the AUS, he could easily get that playing super league against much easier speed and opposition. Surely he will go there?

    2025

Watching the Storm and the speed around the ruck and the way Pappy flew around, if we stick with Croker at 9 and Turbo at 1 we will have an ordinary season. The Storm's speed at the dummy half/ruck was amazing and made me realise how slow and pedestrian we are/look. The passing was crisp and the...

I know Smoking speaks about him but he's a machine. Hope we sign him long term big time. Joe, have you head the latest as a lot of teams would be super impressed with this.

    New job for assistant coach

Giving huge long term contracts can also work the other way in creating comfortability. I see it in soccer a lot overseas. still unsure of us doing this as most teams don't??? If Ola and Paseka end up like Tom with the injuries we are in for years of salary cap restraints. DCE did turn out great...

    2026 recruitment & retention

There must be some young second rower on the left hand side who must see that we have this amazing opportunity to literally come in and start. Got to be a few Panthers, Canberra, Kiwi or Brisbane kids parked in behind established players. look at the hooker, come from ressies and straight in and...

Great stuff again Joe!! So appreciated by all of us. Great to see several kids coming through that have a top chance of getting near NRL. Laifai, Mihinui, Campbell Munn, F.Tuionetoa and more. It will be good to watch their progress and others in the next few years.

Hi Joe, this comment interested me by you: To be honest I would have signed Mihinui to a deal before him, Is this kid leaving?? Or we can't hand out bigger contracts to everyone? What's he like as a player?

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

No coach could get around the madness Tom and Jake amounts in long term contracts. It has hamstrung the club for sure.

    Sell-out Brookie Crowds

It shows we need an upgrade to Brookie as more fans ae coming than ever. I reckon a lot would come on the day but sold out ends that too.

    Turbo good to go

Reminds me of the Buddy Franklin debacle of the long contract. I really hope Ole doesn't end up the same.

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

We seem to have big old style forwards and as the game progressed, the steam ran out of them quickly. Too slow and all too cumbersome.

    Lodge, you Monster

I think potentially it's obvious Lodge will be the leader. Paseka doesn't have that in him but Lodge will definitely lift P's game.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Issue will be upgrades to Lodge and probably Brown. Smart move not signing Lodge yet as if he does something again, he won't come back anywhere near what he may be now. Tommy T issue. Get rid of Josh A and that will free up dough, like Christian T to dragons (good move)

    2026 recruitment & retention

I know it's the same in other sports My Manchester United soccer team have held onto and kept re-signing guys who are really good, but constantly injured in the hope they will come good. They never do. It's why Penrith do so well, lack of injuries to key players.
