Thanks to Roosters now every team has treat injured players as not being injured.

Gets out of car and kicks the football about as well as Cleary at the end of Origin.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Knights [Round 18, 2022]

Not a biggie, but at 6-all and DCE's kick off coming down near the goal posts, how did the Knights player get away with being allowed to stuff the catch, the ball goes and and sits on the goal post pads, then be allowed to reach up and take the ball. Should be a knock on ruled. Weirdest kick...

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

Any moment an injury to Foz or DCE will give Schuster all the opportunity he wants. It could be next week or it could be grand final day. Either way, he gets given the keys to a top 4 NRL team in November.

Down to 19. Josh A not in the 17. DCE & Jake seem good to go I guess. https://www.seaeagles.com.au/news/2022/07/15/nrl-team-update-round-18-v-knights/

    SOO, Jake, DCE, general discussion

Anyone seen DCE or Slater comment on DCE putting in long field kicks on the 2nd tackle last night? Seemed a completely different tactic to humdrum NRL. The Blues forwards couldn't handle being forced back down the field. Should DCE and Manly adopt this? Maybe it only works in Origin? In NRL all...

Is the play-the-ball now an anachronism?

Is it like governors-general. I think the plural may be plays-the-ball, not play-the-balls. The RU has an alternative to the play-the-ball and that's even worse. In AFL the crowd screams out BAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWLLLLLLL and then the player drops the football.

    Pre-Game Manly v Knights [Round 18, 2022]

This is enough! Time to flog them. Manly have lost 3 of the last 4 games vs Knights. Manly have lost 5 of the last 8 games vs Knights. Last 3 games at Brookie: Knights won 14-12 in 2020, Manly won 30-6 in 2019, Knights won 18-12 in 2018. Manly won 30-6 in Rd 5 this year at Newcastle...

    2022 NRL Rule changes

How will this rule work when the Brookie time keeper can't apparently see into the corners as the Manly fans won't sit down when Tommy scores the match winner? Will he still need to stand on a chair?

    Other Games [Round 17, 2022]

That sin binning was way too excessive for what was a careless collision. On top of that, I thought if the opposition scored on the same play as the foul, then they don't send the offender to the sin bin anyway as it would be a double punishment. So the Eels got six points AND a sin bin in...

    NRL's 17th Team - The (Redcliffe) dolphins

I got a feeling that Dolphins are going to have to hope somebody big (or their club) wants out from a current contract. Probably a halfback.

    Best and worst recruitment decisions

In the mid 1990s Manly got 2 fullbacks from NZ. Matthew Ridge and Jorgen Rogers. This is Rodgers only game - Rd 1 in 1994 he was given the fullback role with Ridge at 5/8th. After Rogers took the kick off, from there it was all down hill unfortunately.

    Sons Outdoing Their Fathers

Mad Dog got suspended after the 1997 grand final for 3 matches. Arguable which generation was the better with Ryan Cross, Scott Gourley, Luke Ricketson and Darren Junee. From way back Joe Pearce at Easts. Son of 'Sandy' Pearce. Also Bob Sullivan at Bears son of Con Sullivan. I don't know who...

‘Show respect’: NRL’s message as Hasler, Manly face $25,000 fine

Cows not binding in scrums at all and getting away with it. The Cows not binding in the scrum meant DCE faced with a backrower decided to run sideways and got crunched. No review of the Cows try included looking at the scrum. Last night the Cows got two more tries by having their lock pick...

    Other Games [Round 16, 2022]

Roosters coming off their own try line. Panfa man Cleary does a legs tackle Beaver Menzies style. The decked Rooster flaps about like a landed mullet while Cleary keeps hold of the legs. Cleary has so much time he actually gets to second marker from a legs tackle before the Rooster can play the...

How to feel deflated after winning? .... Follow Manly

This Manly team has enough skill in bucket loads to shake the Top 8 and the other top clubs must now know it. A team can't suddenly possess what Manly did for for the fist 65-70 minutes vs Eels, Cows & Storm. A team can fix what Manly did in the end of all of those games. The big IF is...
