    2026 recruitment & retention

Will be interesting, he's not staying at Parra, burnt the Dragons, the Broncos pulled the pin. Is his sticking point length of contract ( 3 years) or price tag? Something has to give somewhere soon.

    Lodge, you Monster

Thing is though, it seems Lodge doesn't want to back himself on another short term deal and that's the sticking point. He's not exactly in the position of power in that regard. Return on investment between RCG and Lodge is like chalk and cheese. Lodge may have more upside going forward...but...

    2026 recruitment & retention

I was think about RCG. He's been granted a release from Parra without a club locked in. I think he's got plenty to offer but the sticking point at his age is him wanting three years. He's averaging over 20 games a year so he's durable and doesn't seem to get into too much trouble. Worth a shot...

Annesley's weakly "Why this happened" report - 2024 edition.

Interesting spin that Annesley puts on things. It could be argued that Cogger instigated contact and in doing so checked or slowed Lemuelu in getting through the line. You could call that ....a mitigating factor. So, why is that mitigating factor not taken into account but as we've heard over...

    Josh Addo Carr stood down

So if you're not impaired why is it an offence to drive with it in your system? BTW - my info is he was advised/told not to drive by the Police but did..

Summation of Manly's home and away season 2024

So this seems to be a common thread. On one hand the games like the Raiders and Tigers have cost us finishing 4th or 5th. On the other we're nowhere near a Top 4 side. Would winning those 2-3 games be a true indicator (and everyone be happy) or not? Whether we beat the Big 3 on off day or...

    Lodge, you Monster

If he's not in the last chance saloon, he's looking at it. In 10 years with 5 clubs* he's only played more than 12 games in a season...twice! So he doesn't have many miles on the clock but there's a few gremlins under the bonnet. *NRL only plus 2 more in u20's (Panthers and Storm) Yep...

    That's entertainment Folks!

An interesting take on that. Giving away a 6 again on the first tackle isn't as bad as conceding one on the last tackle so you may be onto something. How many times do we see back to back 6 agains on zero or first tackle which isn't really a deterrent or punishment to the defending side?

Interesting, the Capras came last in '21.

    Lodge, you Monster

All depends on his (& managers) attitude. Brown signed on with us as a train & trial to prove to himself and others that he still "had it". Has done that and earned a two year deal, no talk of how much $$. He knew that he was in the "Last Chance Saloon" and had enough pride and humility to do...

    Lodge, you Monster

Yep, as the financial advisers say " past performance isn't a reliable indicator of future performance.." yet that is what you base your investment on. He's played two full seasons (25 & 22 games) in 10 seasons, one of those was on a one year deal and was rewarded with another contract. Injuries...

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

No one (in the media) saw us signing Brooks, that was well and truly kept under wraps so we could be chasing someone but just don't know it.

Game Day: Bulldogs V Manly [Round 26, 2024]

The weird thing is despite being the best defensive team, they are also up the near top for most missed tackles, hopefully Lodge can scatter some and we back him up.

    Pre-Game Bulldogs V Manly [Round 26, 2024]

True, but they were somewhat under the radar back then, now the air of expectation is on them.

    Turbo back.. at centre

It's tough to pick, the judges tend to lean towards players whose team wins so that's a factor. Realistically Tom should have got 4-5 points in our loss to the Tigers but he probably got 2 ( 2 x 1) They also have favourites. So Burton and Nicho will get the points in the next two games unless we...

    Pre-Game Bulldogs V Manly [Round 26, 2024]

The squad gets cut to 19 24hrs prior to kick off and the final 17 one hour prior to kick off is how it works I think.
