    He’s a gun. Big, big human with the right attitude. Was at the game today, and he was massively gassed at times, especially defending when we had 12 on field. But he didn’t miss a beat - just kept turning up.

    I saw that his PREVIOUS profile, from the Bulldogs website, had him at 111kg. But having said that, he was only listed on there at 190cm, and he is clearly much taller than that. so, if we combine the two, we can deduce that he is: around 200cm tall over 110kg a big unit!

    This is what I’m questioning... club website says 194, but to me he looks way taller. Everyone is right though - head and shoulders above the rest of the playing field!!

    Hope I’m wrong (sorta) but I think Des will move Harper back to reggies for Walker, and drop Toff from the bench for Sironen. Personally I’d like Sironen in there for his excellent defence, but really don’t want anyone moved out of the side. Wonder if they’d notice us playing with 18...

    It’s a very tough call... Parker is everything that Des - and others - loves in a player. Tries his guts out every game, makes his tackles, leaves nothing on the field. But Walker will always have more blue sky, cos he’s fast, aggressive, skilful and committed. Can we play three centres??

    Potential point of consideration - most teams played three trial matches - a ‘nothing trial’ against A-grade opposition, then two trials at NRL level. So, most first grade players would have had at least an hour or so in game time ahead of the season starting. First four rounds, we looked waaay...

    Manly Centres an issue

    I’ve said for years (mainly to myself) that Jorge would be better off as a centre. Big, hard, blockbusting running and defence, plus it would negate his very slow turn and below average catching of kicks. Will be interesting to see how he goes there!
