Nate Myles - Is there hope?

We don't need big numbers from him. Success for Myles this year will be: 1. Big aggressive 1:1 hits in defense - make them hurt. Complement Jake's superb technique 2. Minimal errors in attack or defence 3. Ruck control - slow theirs and speed ours up 4. 19+ games - injuries are cruel, but...

    Ryan Hoffman

With that said. Tigers management make ours look professional... Woods an eagle in 2018 ;)

    Ryan Hoffman

It would take a lot to pry Woods away from the tiges - they will pay him what he wants and he's captain. He also seems the kind of guy to take pride in the leadership role and the future success of the club. He gave everything whilst the tiges were a rabble, still became a mainstay in rep...

Shillington retires...opens the door for further recruiting

Frees up money how? I assume Shillington is forgoing payments from his final year but the contract amount is still counted in the cap. Interesting that he's not digging in his heels for a full payout.

    Kelly deserves first shot

Agreed - Barrett should have the greatest insight into Kelly's progress. Fingers crossed he has the guts to make the right decision based on that knowledge. I'm a fan of young players working their way up - positives for work ethic, durability and longevity. With that said, I'm guessing players...

    Ryan Hoffman

Would have been handy as an old head in the forwards 15/16/17. More value than other similar acquisitions... 2018 is too late. We will have no shortage of forward leaders on multi year contracts - Darcy, Marty and Jake with another season under the belt

    Kelly deserves first shot

Aside from 2017, has Kelly played against men? Hasn't his career thus far been limited to U20s? Give the kid 4-6 weeks with Blacktown to adapt to the bigger bodies. Keep him training with the top side. If he handles the physicality of reserve grade, consider him for firsts at centre / wing...

Glad to have most of our side signed for next year.

I wonder how he rates against Brian Kelly

    Uate or Locke

I think we will keep one of Omar or Locke for depth. A lot hinges on Jorge - Assuming he recovers from the surgery, stays with the club and stays in the backs - hes our first picked winger

    Uate or Locke

We didn't "swap" Buhrer for Uate. There may have been a deal involved, but it will be in our favour financially. Uate is coming here from reserve grade - he will need to fight for his spot. For what it's worth - I think he'll perform. Fingers crossed he does as it will be great for the team.

    ACL surgery triples for children

Fingers crossed some eggheads are inventing a way to re-grow cartilage in the knee - we don't want everyone ending up like choc

    What happened to DCE

You made a sound argument until this sacrilegious drivel. As penance, I recommend a dozen four n twenty pies (cold) and two cartons of winnie blues - lest your loins produce nothing but Eels supporters.

    Tommy T Progression.

It depends on how he learns. Getting a couple of days as the "boss", trying things out, improving / making mistakes and then having the luxury of going back to a lower pressure role and watching how one of the best in the business handles things. Rinse and repeat. Works well for a lot of people...

    Tommy T Progression.

We're 5 games into the season and Tom's played fullback twice - he'll get more opportunities this year and will be better for it. There's no rush, this experience will pay massive dividends throughout his career.

    Koroisau!!!

It's a shame teams need to defend - it would be great to have Api and Walker playing as Left / Right side ball running 5/8s. Daly playing roving 1/2, directing play and taking the option to run himself on occasion. Combined with the class of our backs and the power running of the forwards -...

Game Day: Manly v Rabbitohs [Round 5, 2016]

Its emotional hedging - think of it less like betting against your team and more like paying for a win, you just gotta want the win more than you want the money ;) With that said, Manly by 10

ATTENTION all ST $50 Supercoach players

So sorry all! Could have sworn I had paid, evidently not. Now I know how Paul Osborne feels when he goes grocery shopping. Apologies for the stuffaround. I'm glad you found a replacement and the comp can proceed - may the best Silvertail win!

    Liam knight

Roster fluidity increases interest in the game - particularly in the offseason. Unpaid media coverage is everywhere, fan engagement is through the roof (every team "has a chance") and the NRL becomes a much more appealing career prospect for young athletes. Tradition may lose out, but rivalries...
