[moved] Candy Cane deleted from MSE Forum

I don't know whether to feel flattered or grossly offended to be compared to you Mata. :D But I do feel like I've achieved something. Just trying to work out what it is.

[moved] Candy Cane deleted from MSE Forum

Seems I've joined the infamous list of people banned from MSE. Interesting experience really. No warning of any form given. Don't have any idea what "sin" I've allegedly committed because no-one considered I was an important enough Manly supporter to actually inform me. Just see that my name...

    Who do you want?

1st preference winger is clearly Calderwood. Big, lightning fast, shrugs of tackles, try-scorer. Downside is presumably cost. However, wing isn't as important as forwards and maybe we can rely on up-and-coming players, like Taylor or Matai (if signed) for wing. If someone like Ben Ross...

    Not so bad

Nth Qld were up 18-4 at half time, had a gale behind them in the 2nd half and still lost - to NEWCASTLE. I don't feel so bad now.

    DRAGONS?????????

    Only a small dent Daniel?

    Wendell Sailor

If you Kiwis are going that well, it might be time for the Aussies to pull in some more real talent from Rugby League. We'll have to wait and see how you perform in the Tri-Nations to see whether there's any need to worry. I don't know why you guys have a problem with Union. I love it...

The difference between an eagle & an eel

The difference between an eagle & an eel Didn't see the tackle, but I think Duff has a point. The circumstances of running out of line v going for a chargedown seems largely irrelevant to me - both are legal if effectively discharged. Based on the descriptions, seems both were clearly...

    The truth hurts

Great post Fluffy. The Rhinos' captain's "creative" article deserves a fuller response. Hecks - Yeah, will we see him again this season? Happy with this honest toiler, sad about the injury run. Witt - A fairer comparison may be Witt v Morris, given they are the respective 5/8ths...

    Dunley grass cuts The Chad

Harsh Mata It seems Manly isn't making an offer, and if so I hope Chad gets a good offer elsewhere. Terry appears very upset that Manly haven't been more upfront with Chad. Would like to see Chad revitalised at a new club.

    Stars snub Mixos

Looks like they'll have plenty of money to spend on getting Chad's signature

    Professionalism (not)

Full marks to Manly media. Rather than getting defensive, they've fixed up all of the spelling and gramatical errors referred to. I'm happy. That's professionalism.

    Professionalism (not)

Of course, another possibility is that I could be totally wrong with my analysis. :D :D :D :D

    Professionalism (not)

If Monas wants fame, first he needs to be in a successful team, second he needs to perform on the paddock. His ill-advised media exploits are losing him credibility, overshadowing his deeds on the field, and alienating many fans of his, including moi. Hope he learns the lesson.

    Professionalism (not)

    Good point Fluffy

    5/8 nnnnnnnooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed Fluffy. Orford (hopefully) and Monas both threaten the defence giving multiple options, at half & 5/8th. I'd like to see if Witt can make a go of hooker. It just could be his position.

    Please drop Monas as captain

Fair enough, Byso. Good balanced view. I'd be happy for Monnas to stay captain too if he could lift his game in media dealings. Just seems unlikely. Seems a loose cannon. And I don't have a fixed view on Monas. Hope he stays and I enjoy watching him play. Just can't swallow the...

    Please drop Monas as captain

Byso, 1. Monas hasn't disputed saying that he would have to weigh up his options if Manly sign Orfoird (the actual statement attributed to him) 2. Monas hasn't provided a plausible (or even an implausible) alternative explanation for that quote's meaning - other than him considering...
