I think if King does start 06 in first grade, give him a trial of 5 games, if he doesn't do anything then drop him to PL.
I would rather have him start in PL and earn his way to NRL.
At the moment you'll have Kite and probably King in the starting front row ... sadly King ... and then on the bench you got Leuleai and Bryant.
Unless Manly are thinking about dropping King all together and have Bryant starting but I don't see that happening.
Big loss in my opinion - our other props are really going to have to stand up now. Hecks was our most consistent prop for the 05 season, Kite is really needed to stand up for next year. King - well ha, could see you in PL pal.
Dunno why they don't try out this Jason Wells guy at 5/8? I woundn't want to see Burns there in 2006, Monghan should be hooker, haven't heard of Halden & Witt needs to improve, then again ... maybe with Orford there Witt will be the goods.
I thought Witt played well, with all the talk about his defence been rubbish I felt he defended well, but his kicking game could have been better. Also great try he got.
How did Michael Witt and Ashley Alberts play in the weekend? I haven't heard anything but interested to see if they will get picked this week against Parra.
