    This year and in the next few years, Manly will struggle if they do not have Props that work harder taking the ball up and not getting the dropsies. It is a priority for recruitment. We just need one or two, and that can make the difference.

    TRex will be missed, and I think he should have been more of a priority to have been re-signed. He can usually score a couple of tries a match just through brute force. We don't have anyone like him now. Let's bring Fabian Goodall along in due course - they say he is TRex mark II

    No expectations, no disappointments. It is good to see the team creep back up the ladder, but there is still a lot of improvement needed, especially in attack - finishing off and actually scoring.

    RE: Wow, I hope this is true! I am just wondering now if Des and the Bulldogs will target Riccardi, now that Foran is staying with us. Riccardi would be a good back up for DCE, Foran or Ballin.

    I thought Harrison played well for Manly against the Dogs. More game time has given him more confidence and it is beginning to show. Harrison is also better at no. 12 than lock, where he was previously filling in for Gift.

    I too am disappointed with Lussick's performance this year. I always thought he would be a better back rower, running at the fringes like TREX plays. He used to play in that position in QLD Cup. But he has got very tall and big, so they have him as a prop. Maybe put him at no. 12 for a while...

    DCE on the bench doesn't make sense to me either, but niether did having Cooper Cronk and they've done that with the QLD and Aussie sides for a few years now. I guess the reasoning is, if Cam Smith is injured, put Cronk to dummy half, and DCE to halfback.

    It seems to me that, on average, forwards take longer to play to their potential than backs. Like wine, they get better with age. Given more time, players like Harrison and Skinner will blossom.

    I didn't understand Tooves's logic in naming a back on the bench (Jorge Taufua), and then not even playing him. We need the forwards to all try and make metres up the middle.
