    Let's revisit The Des Departure

Lamb is quoted in the media, the dogs supporters are not, the latter views count for little in the news cycle. I don't hate Trent Barrett, he seems like a calm and decent person. I am just of the opinion that he is a poor coach, and I have always thought that too. Des Hasler is super impressive...

    Let's revisit The Des Departure

Yes...however, the bulldogs played finals every year of Hasler's tender. His supposed lack of success is subjective. And lets look at one of his most vocal critics, Terry Lamb...we all know his coaching record.

    Let's revisit The Des Departure

You may be right there. On the flip side, I saw Penn at our 08 GF win carrying the trophy around ANZ. His ego and desire for success may over rule having to pay out Barrett. The other thing he may do is pull a Warriors on McFadden, and demote Barrett without sacking him, negating a pay out...

    Let's revisit The Des Departure

I just hope we get the the Barrett led group out ASAP like tomorrow morning, and get the Hasler led group in ASAP like tomorrow afternoon. I have heard a number of my fellow Sea Eagles suggest that Barrett be given another year? While their reasoning is fair minded, allow me to say this; Barrett...

    Rebecca Wilson passes away.....

I thought she was a terrific journalist. Did not always get it right, but who does? For the most part, quite astute, and was an advocate for integrity in sport. Heartfelt sorrow for her family. God Bless.

Man U Mark Hughes? He conducted himself like one.

Manly's battle to keep Trbojevic brothers

Perhaps if the club had not signed the dead weight likes of Myles, Green, Brown, Wright, Winterstein or Williame, champion leaders like Jamie Buhrer, and fine local products like Clint Gutherson, would not have to be 'moved on'. As for Barrett commenting, please! what an imposter and lapdog for...

    Bozo to Jamie

I said professional and upstanding. I am sure the AFL would be pleased to hear your intelligent comments. Good to see you know the sport well though. After all, Steve Menzies, Bradley Clyde, Greg Alexander, Cooper Cronk and Mark Hughes were playing another code.

    Bozo to Jamie

Jamie Buhrer is an upstanding and proven professional, who does not commit criminal or crude acts. On this basis, he does not fit in with the new 'Long Bay' approach that the club has taken. They are embarrassing and pathetic.

    Suaia Matagi

Again, were they so good that matches went our way? No. Your initial criticism of them was warranted, and they have a lot to do in order to earn their keep. Taupau is one of the few players I have seen that can rack up stats, yet still have no impact on a match.

    Suaia Matagi

Agree with you on the latter 2.

    Suaia Matagi

Excluding Trbojevic, who stood tall all season, the other 2 were ok for half the year, hardly world beating. They didn't really turn any games our way. To be somewhat fair to them though, we are terribly coached.

    Suaia Matagi

    Yep...we finished 13th after all

Not relevant who we may or may not sign. While Barrett, Cartwright and Co are there, any talent will fall by the way side.

MESSAGE TO SCOTT PENN RE GREG BIRD

I have written to them many times, and have consistently urged them to maintain 'our culture'. What did they do? Walked upstanding individuals in Coach Toovey, Manager Gigg, players Ballin, Gutherson and Hiku. In return, we inherited dysfunctional Walker and Koroisau, the no impact defecater...

We'll finish where we deserve to finish

Barrett does not have the knowledge or composure to get this team into title contention. On a related topic, the idea preached by some, that we are in 're-build' phase, is a true myth. What has happened was not a re-build, it was an unnecessary restructure. How can they call it a re-build with...

Troubled Titans star Greg Bird could find a new home with Manly Sea Eagles

I am stunned... How can they even contemplate moving on Jamie Buhrer? Why would a person like Greg Bird even be considered? Meehan, Hopoate and Fonua-Blake not enough? Our club is unrecognisable, and now run by failed blow ins. While Fulton was a gun player, this idea that he is a Sea Eagle...

    The Kieran Forum

I realise that most of my maroon and white brothers/sisters on here will batter me for this, but I would have loved to see Kieran Foran back with us. I am being selfish, and even looking back, but I greatly miss what we were, and always saw him as a future captain. I would love to see the Manly...

    Ben Matulino

True....all we would then need is some actual people that can coach.
