    Gutherson on the cheap

You make a good suggestion. But why would our local junior want to come back after he was marched by brainless Barrett? Until we have hard nose 100% Manly people back in charge, bad times for us. We have just lost Liam Knight too.

    [Resurrected] Haslers first year

Come again???? When Des Hasler and Noel Cleal arrived in 2004, they had 14 players, half of which were fringe players, and the club was near enough broke. When Barrett arrived, he walked players at his discretion (Ballin, Hiku) and was given players he demanded (Walker, Brown, Taupau). This is...

    [Resurrected] The Trent Vent

I need to study logic? Lol....he walked Hiku and Ballin, and demanded Taupau and Walker. These are known facts, stated by the players in question. I would say that indicates Barrett has a fair amount of influence in recruitment, and that you have the vision issues here. You are deluded and...

Also, Wayne Bennett, Trent Robinson and Michael Maguire are proven performers, who can be forgiven for a bad year. Trent Barrett had an average record at best, and was afforded all the recruitment luxury he desired. You will need to make a far better case than the one you have put up.

Yeah you are right...the former is a problem free player and the latter is such a role model who uses phrases like 'rats ass' to the media...classy. Still, I guess it beats punching doors.

No you see because I am not the coach, he is. His record is one win, one loss as Country coach, and he finished 10th with a Panthers 20s side that the coaches, both the previous and following year, took to a title. Unlike Barrett, Geoff Toovey managed a side with players on back end deals...

    [Resurrected] The Trent Vent

Unlike mighty Rome, this was not a re-build. Barrett was handed 6 representative players, and made the decision to move on players. This was not a re-build. It is a case of a man who was handed an asset, that was far too valuable, in comparison to his ability. I suspect that if Barrett, and the...

    Solomona and Gillett

With our current coaching staff, I suspect that we are no chance to sign any top shelf talent. Unfortunately, we are currently in the Godinet, Wright and Winterstein field.

    Is Ballin the man?

I always saw Matt Ballin as a future coach at our club.

    2017 Team Discussion

Manly will struggle to attract players while the current coaching staff is in place. That to me shows how bad they actually are as, we are a club that players have always aspired to represent.

    2017 Team Discussion

I would personally like to see Kieran Foran return, and an entire new coaching staff, with a proven track record, that are actually 'Manly' people. Barrett and his coaching staff have been appalling. Irrespective of injuries, their list management, recruitment and general decision making is a joke.
