    The knights decided to actually have a dig in the second half. As we know, Manly can’t win under those circumstances. Call it attitude, complacency or an unwillingness to get in the trenches, it all falls back on the coach, who sets the standards, mindsets and behaviours.

    Problem is apart from the win/lose yo-yo we are on, we also have the losses to teams we should beat hoodoo to contend with. So maybe Manly 20+ at halftime, but down by 6 at full time. It’s the titans turn to get played into form.

    According to the coach, we are in a premiership window. If we were beaten by Melbourne, or a top 4 or top 8 side, fair enough. But we were beaten by the Knights. I’m sorry, I respect your opinions, but if we start excusing losses to teams like the Knights, we may as well give it up.

    Mate, I hear what you are saying, but we are talking about the Knights here. It’s a game you just have to win, regardless of how many excuses you can find. The only consistency we have is the ability to find excuses after losses. The coach is accountable for results, not for offering up excuses.
