Defence effort best part of Win

I do t understand what’s different to how you see it, form what I suggested? That he costs us games with his low percentage footy.

Defence effort best part of Win

It’s interesting; the freedom he plays with is a big part of what leads to some incredible moments that make the highlight reels. Conversely, it’s the same freedom that can turn big matches against us with a costly low % play.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I reckon it’s just a rumour. Galvin to Eels and DCE to Chooks is already a done deal IMO. Thought I don’t trust Gus…

I hope the Roosters enjoy his edge defence.

    Galvin

Media hype. It started before he played FG. His junior footy had the media calling him the next Nathan Cleary. Then, when he debuted at such a young age, it perpetuated the narrative. He did some good things and the Tigers still collected the spoon. This year, he has been a non event. From my...

‘Obsessed’ and ‘need to move on’? Coming from the guy that posts ad nauseam about a favourite player from the 70s and our once legendary premiership winning standards?!

Defence effort best part of Win

Did you notice Seibs (who is usually relatively subdued) going off his head when DCE threw the miracle ball to Tom with five minutes still on clock the other night? It looked like he mouthed ‘why are they trying to score?’ I was wondering the same thing. We’ve got the ball and the lead and...

That really does make it sound like he’s trying to wrangle more coin out of the Chooks.

The best he could manage is a cover version of the Barrett Strong song made famous by The Beatles - Money (That’s What I Want).

    The Daly Cherrygraph

When read in context, he doesn’t actually say he is ‘talking’ with the Roosters and Dolphins, just that he ‘has’. Maybe he spoke with the Dolphins a month ago and they’ve agreed not to move any further ahead with discussions. It’s interesting that he admitted to speaking with the Roosters, in...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Well he'll fit right in with the other 'not so articulate' media personalities at 9. I noticed he said the 'Roosters are someone I've spoken to' - Dollar Chaser Evans needs to appreciate that the Roosters are a club, not a person, so they're not 'someone'. He thinks he is smarter than he is...

If he’s talking to Dolphins, I suspect he’s talking to the Titans and that’s who he’ll sign with.

Zak Hosking, Frizell, and where I went to skool...

Friz is a has been IMO. Getting very old and we have enough old heads. Hosking reminds me a bit of Ben T; maybe it’s that they look similar. Hosking has a great offload in him.

    Jake T.

I’m not having a go at you personally, nor am I trying to project superior values onto others, but… Recently, I read some damning statistics about violence (of all kinds) against women and one of the solutions in working towards lowering those statistics was to call out low level misogyny, that...

    Can’t believe we’re 6th

I’d never move a coach on unless the team is getting smashed regularly. It’s not the answer. It’s easy to get frustrated with middle of the road and go testing the waters for another coach to just see what might happen, but it’s fraught with danger.

    Can’t believe we’re 6th

I agree. I can see them getting done on GF night against the Storm but I don’t think they’re pretenders and could easily win it. The best kind of wins for team psychology are the ‘never beaten’ wins they’ve had the last two weeks. Essentially, winning is becoming a habit for the Dogs, even when...

Blayke Brailey is a better 9 than Robson.

    Jake T.

Yeah, Crichton is an absolute bandit for raising the forearm into defenders faces. I can’t stand him because of it. Side on, it looks like Jake copped an elbow because it comes up under his chin, but there’s another angle showing the shoulder gets him flush, before the elbow quickly comes up...

    Caleb Navale

yes, and that will probably happen because the coach doesn’t always get it right, but it’s a pretty flawed logic to criticise Seibs use of the bench in a game that we won, because whatever decisions were made pertaining to interchange, worked!

    Can’t believe we’re 6th

I think what stands out for Manly is we don’t get smashed very often, if it all. The Tigers got 60+ put on them; that’s rock bottom, not a 30-14 loss to Cronulla, who just beat the Storm.
