    Terry Hill RIP

Sad news, he was great for manly in the 90s, and contributed a fair bit in his comeback year at manly in 2005, when manly desperately needed experienced players in the rebuild. Out of interest does anyone know if the original 70s Terry Hill is alive and well.

Exactly, how much did manly spend on relocating the whole family to wheeler heights or Cromer (wherever it was) and paying 4 teenagers to play juniors for 5 years.

My bet is that he does an Ali Lau’ititi. Couldn’t quite get it together for the nrl, but carved it up in the uk for a decent career.

The previous approach of paying young blokes and their families top dollar from age 14 to 18 seems like madness in hindsight. Manly had to get more professional. Good money after bad.

Pay $999,997 now, and $1 a year for next 3 years. I’m loving the fake OMG headlines: $ 1 million dollars!!!! It was no big deal when it was 400 this year (already paid) then 200 for next 3 years. Now all of a sudden it’s a million dollar headache!!!!

    Post-Game Discussion Post-Game Discussion - Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

He still played on a losing team. In his second coming at manly he wasn’t the answer, only performing well in a handful of games. He lacks the factor to take a team to top 4. I see him as a solid mid-tier 6 (not a 7). DCE’s best is at least twice as good as Foran’s best.

    Win % Table

It’s a formula alright, just a simple one. I must say though that I prefer my 100 points for a bye concept. The teams with byes would be so far ahead, and the ones without byes would be panicking about making the 8. Then later when they get a bye it will be an amazingly exciting comeback...

He’s still earning more than me for the next 3 years. And I meet all my targets, and rarely eat fast food. I’m sorry he couldn’t respond to cherry’s wake up call last year. It was pretty clear manly was on board if Josh could knuckle down.

I’ve rated the post ironstine because it is a a brilliant take on a stupid concept.

Personally I’d award 100 points for the bye, then every team would have huge numbers at the end of the season.

    Pre-Game Manly V Eels [Round 8, 2024]

It ****s me when we have ex manly players against us. Even if they are terrible all year they always get tries or perform well against us. Gutho, simonsson, lane, Harper, lussick, tuilagi this coming week. Foran, Des, Kelly, verrils last week. I couldn’t remember verrils’ name and searched...

    Pre-Game Manly V Eels [Round 8, 2024]

Parra players are dehydrated and stuffed after playing in Darwin, gutho on one leg, needs a couple of weeks off but will be forced to play. Manly needs to recover from two draining away games. Hopefully seibold tapers them this week, freshen up the players a bit.
