    Burbo to lock?

And Saab goes down with a leg injury, right on cue… Given his history, I'm guessing he'll miss a few weeks. Not sure what that will mean for the backs. Maybe Schoupp (a-doop-a-doop-a-doop) comes into the side at centre and pushes Garrick or Koula onto the wing.

    Burbo to lock?

I think Waddell might miss a week or two for that high shot he got placed on report for. Should mean an opportunity for Navale.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly V Storm [Round 5, 2025]

Yeah, that wasn't good. And the call on Burbo for an incorrect play-the-ball (which was completely fine as far as I could see) killed us. But that's no excuse for giving up 48 points. We are just terrible without the ball, and until that is addressed, (with apologies to @bob dylan) we ain't...

    MVP: Rd 4 v Storm

    3. Haumole. Anyone who makes Grant and Munster look silly in one game gets three points from me. Again, he's our only terrifying forward. 2. Koula. That was his best game at centre for a while. 1. Faulalo just shading L'il Hoppa for the one point. I like to think of this as the Kurt Capewell...

Game Day: Manly V Storm [Round 5, 2025]

Agree. Yes, that 10-minute stretch was disastrous and may prove decisive, but we've reacted really well and are still in the game. At times Melbourne have looked as ragged as we did. We can score tries in bunches, too, so fingers crossed for a better second half.

Game Day: Manly V Storm [Round 5, 2025]

Yeah, nobody should be surprised if this happens. The NRL Crackdown of the Week has been in full force this round, so players on both sides should be on notice. Whether they're smart enough to act accordingly remains to be seen.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

There is no clearer indication that Cherry will soon be on Nine's payroll (if he isn't already) than this. The Worm is protecting his employer's investment and stirring s**t up at the same time. What journalists these days call a "win-win".

    How do we unlock Koula?

You've sold me, mate:-) Can't see it happening, but that is a very well-reasoned plan. And I'm happy to have Lehi pretty much anywhere in the starting backline. He is one of those players who finds a way to impact the game no matter where you put him.

    How do we unlock Koula?

I agree that Koula's best position is probably fullback. Unfortunately for him, Turbo is (occasionally) there, and Lehi is the obvious backup. Lehi is excellent, a natural fullback in both attack and defence. Tolu is fast as hell and has created havoc in attack when he's played fullback, but he...

Is 'The Bull" the Most improved player in NRL

Losing Bully would make no sense. He's exactly the type of speedy, mobile forward we need more of, not less of.

    Is Mestrov really our Messiah?

May well be the case, although I still think the Roosters have [paper]bagged their man. But at this stage, who f***ing cares? He's leaving at the end of this season, but (at least for now) he's here for the rest of the season. He can put himself out to stud in 2026 for all I care, but for 2025...

    Pre-Game Manly V Storm [Round 5, 2025]

I never imagined myself saying this, but Aloiai is a loss. Last week he did well to get needled up and come back into the game after the break, but I suspected he wouldn't be able to play this week. A bit like Paseka, he always seems to find an injury pretty much at the same time he's finding form.

    Seibold presser ..

It is odd that DCE says he wants the club to be able to move on - that the whole reason he's made his decision (or non-decision) is so the club can move on - and that he wishes people would stop talking about it, then keeps talking about it himself. I'm not sure if his references to false...

Not another slip in the shower? Time to invest in a rubber mat, Tommy!

    > Siosiua Taukeiaho <

Always thought he was great at the Roosters, so it's pleasing (as Jake would say) to see he's still got it in him. Has that aura of a leader about him already, too.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly V Eels [Round 4, 2025]

Yeah, the most important thing was to simply get the game out the way. We are now one week further away from Cherry's decision (or one week closer to him making it, depending on how you choose to look at it), the emotion can die down, and we can get on with things. Even Tommy's...

    MVP: Rd 4 v Eels

    3. Taukeiaho. He's been great. Came up just short of a try but was our best forward by some margin. 2. Aloiai. Ran hard, no mistakes, and was gutsy enough to get needled up at the half and get back on the field. 1. Lehi. Handled the switch from wing to fullback the way he handles everything...

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

This has been mentioned time and time again, but I am pretty sure there is no such thing these days as Turbo being 100% fit. And there is nothing the coach, the trainers, or the slaughter of baby goats under a full moon can do about it.

    [Resurrected] Turbo injury,healt..wait..injury - updates

The rugby league Gods are somehow offended by Tom's talent. Must be the only player I've ever seen come out with strapping on one leg, only to injure the other leg almost immediately. It's beyond ridiculous.

Game Day: Manly V Eels [Round 4, 2025]

Pretty ordinary first half, but we're in front by 12, which is the main thing. Eels' offloads are already troubling us, and that will only get worse if we start getting tired and slipping off tackles. Sadly, Tommy T reminded me of this guy in the first half:
