All NRL Games [Round 14, 2025]

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think the Warriors can and will (why not go all in?) win the competition this year. I just really like the look of their team, and if they can stay healthy I think they can match anyone. I think Webster is a very smart coach, too.

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

I’m not in any tipping comps, but my wife is. When she asked about this game I told her to tip the Knights because I knew we could not string two decent games together. She was worried I’d steered her wrong at halftime, but I told her a collapse was a given: 16-nil is the worst possible lead...

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

Will answer the question I posed earlier: Yes, it surely can happen again. This team cannot be trusted. Unless, of course, you’re expecting disappointment. On that, they can truly deliver.

Game Day: Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

Sadly, sums us up since way before Seibold was our coach.

Game Day: Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

This is just the kind of game, where we’re expected to win and win well, that we have made a habit of losing. But surely not this time, right?

The Jazz thread ... all that Jazz

Seeing as though we’re all about nicknames at the moment, can I get any traction on “Bob Fosse” for Jazz? Or do we just allow him to call himself “The Bald Eagle”?

    Lodge, you Monster

Been away so haven’t yet seen him in a Manly jersey this season, but judging by the comments I’ve been reading, shouldn’t we be changing the title of this thread to “Lodge, You Fat F**k”?

    Josh Aloiai

Any update on the injury? And did it look bad at the time? Could only watch the highlights and saw he went off. Like a lot of our blokes, he can’t seem to stay on the field.

    Post-Game Discussion Eels V Manly [Round 12, 2025]

Glad I’m out of the country and didn’t have to watch the game. Sounds like an absolute sh**show. But really, I’m not surprised. You can’t trust this team to string two decent games together. One step forward, 17 steps back.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I suspect as I have always suspected: that he agreed to sign with the Roosters and Channel Nine way back before his big announcement, and that everything else is smoke and mirrors. I love how the article says the Dolphins must be talking to Cherry, despite publicly saying they're not...

Zak Hosking, Frizell, and where I went to skool...

I did see something about Frizell considering his future at the Knights, so he may be available. I actually think he's still an excellent player and would add him to our Dad's Army forwards in a heartbeat if the deal was right.

    Jake T.

All great points, Disco, but all very dependant on not being knocked unconscious on the field. That's the only part of his demise that worries me.

    State of Origin, 2025.

Maybe NSW selectors don't want their hearts in their mouths every time Tom takes a hit up. You can't afford to carry an injury liability at that level. Couple that with his less than stellar form and I reckon it's an easy decision.

    Jake T.

And he did the same thing a few weeks ago for his first concussion of the season. Said it then, but it's worth repeating that there was a time when Jake would NEVER get his head in the wrong position defensively. We're talking about a player with one of the best defensive techniques of the NRL...

    [Resurrected] Taupau being shopped?

We do lack that killer instinct…

    MVP: Rd 11 v Cowboys

Hard to split the 3 and 2, but here goes: 3. Burbo. Not just the best Trbojevic on the field. Great efforts from him in attack and defence. 2. Lehi. My God, that skinny little bugger gets through a mountain of work, and does whatever it takes to get the maximum amount of metres he can on every...

    Post-Game Discussion Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

Sadly, it took another concussion to Jake to prove it, but we are a much better side with Jazz at lock and Simpkin at hooker. In fact, even forgetting about Simpkin at hooker, Jazz should be our starting lock. Along with those two, big shout-outs to TKO, who has been our best prop all year...

    Caleb Navale

I wondered if he got hooked for throwing a perfect pass that Tommy put down. Thought it was very odd. And then I thought he might get back on at the end when we had a big lead. I thought wrong.

Game Day: Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

A bit like last week, the effort has been there. But the mistakes with the ball are just killing us. Game after game, year after year (and heading into decade after decade), we are just an incredibly dumb football team. And for a team that seemingly has "work-ons" drummed into them at every...

Game Day: Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

So far we've been lucky that the Cowboys have been terrible as well. But I'm still confident we can be worse than them in the second half.
