Voss called that an "intriguing half of football". I did not know that "intriguing" was a synonym for "sh**house".

Game Day: Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

I was screaming the same thing at the TV. One of the reasons I love Lehi is that he always put his hand up for plays like that. But throwing it to our smallest player in that situation did not reflect well on our forwards.

Again with some terrible options tonight, killing any momentum we were a chance of building with dumb plays on early tackles. I will not miss that part of his game.

    Pre-Game Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

Heart and grunt are two things we haven't seen much from Manly this season. You'll only see that in your Doggies games:-)

    Joey Walsh

If Walsh does play NRL this year, it will be a huge call. He's played, what, a couple of games in the lower grades and one game in the reserves? Granted he looked good in the limited footage I have seen from those games, but the step up to the NRL will be huge. Either we're desperate or he's...

All NRL Games [Round 11, 2025]

I thought Steve Price looked like he'd eaten Peter Tunks, so I'm glad to learn Tunksie is alive and well. Price was always a fantastic player. I think his son (who would also be Brent Tate's nephew) might be at the Cowboys now.

Agree. He never has been. And that was the whole point of getting him here, where he didn't have to be "that guy" and could play his natural game. But someone is at least going to have to do an impersonation of a leader when Origin absences kick in.

All NRL Games [Round 11, 2025]

Nah. Remember Super League. Remember Coffs Harbour. Remember Todd Greenberg going after Des and the rest of the coaching staff. And then take a look at a photo of Reed Mahoney. Still plenty to hate.

    Seibold presser ..

I don't know that there are any certified "Seibold lovers" on the site. I mean, he's not an easy guy to love. But there are plenty of people who can see that we have a number of problems outside of the coach, and that not everything is his fault. Given our roster and general inability to do...

To show how weird and/or skewed stats can be, take a look at these: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/the-no1-rated-nsw-hooker-with-zero-origin-buzz-top-10-players-in-every-position/news-story/3163c7cf014b79a7df5c617441df1309 According to these stats, Christian Tuipulotu is the...

What’s really killing our 2025 season?

Is it because we're not very good at rugby league?

    Pre-Game Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

That's probably our only chance of a victory, Mark.;)

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I still think Cherry cares too much about his image and "brand" to go out like this mid-season, so I can't see it happening. But if it does, first - wow. And second, I'm fine with it. If he doesn't want to be here, what's the point of keeping him?

Thank you for your service. Sounds promising, too!

    Pre-Game Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

Purdue played all his junior footy as a half, and has been killing it in the centres, a position he had never previously played. He is very quick off the mark and will likely cause plenty of problems in the middle of the field. Dearden never gives up. And on top of that, Drinkwater plays pretty...

    Pre-Game Cowboys V Manly [Round 11, 2025]

I fear the Cowboys will be looking to pay us back for that Round 1 humiliation at Brookvale, and that no amount of @Wombat64's premium lube will save our collective perineum by the full-time siren.

    Tommy Talau

I like Talau and what he did for us last year, but how many players who struggle to make it onto the field do we really need?
  19. Ron E. Gibbs

    No end in sight

Couldn't I agree more. I said at the time that he was the one we could build a dominant forward pack around, and if he had stuck around, with players like Haumole coming through and a bit more luck, we could have been a very different team. To me, he was the key. Not DCE, not even Turbo. But he...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Seems to be two camps in the rugby league media at the moment: those who attempt to maintain the fiction that Cherry wasn't signed, sealed and delivered to the Roosters before he made his fateful announcement, and those who are willing to give nudge-nudge wink-wink recognition to the fact that...
