Keep going until the siren sounds!

I feel the team made some fair inroads in that regard in 2024, with a handful of games reminding us this team isn't quite there yet. Let's see what 2025 brings

    Caleb Navale

yeah, I agree we need more strike in our pack. I dont think its Caleb this year and its a shame manly didnt try or have the funds to find a lock or 2nd rower that would complement the team by way of providing more strike power.

    Caleb Navale

oh come on Ryan! Jake is a machine in defence, our Fatty Vautin in the current day, a leader, passion. I agree that his attacking levels have degenerated over the years. Every team needs a tackling machine and we well know Jake delivers on this at a high level. Burbo, yeah, Im not sold on him...

    Trial V Panthers

and we saw it in the final against the Dogs, previously I have seen him surprisingly run down a few times. I feel Koula needs to be given space rather than making something of his own, whereas Hopoate is a footballer in every sense.

    Trial V Panthers

I dont see why Koula is ahead of Hopoate to be honest.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I think vautin was more forced out and not due to any lucrative rooster offer

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I didnt know dce signed with the Eagles for the next few years, haven't kept up much over the summer

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Is manly a chance of not looking at extending dce? I thought he had a place at manly for as long as he wanted.

Sea Eagles Elimination Game 2025 (pre-season forum game)

I thought it would be good, but it needs many people to contribute. All we see here is the same people voting multiple times with different votes each time. What is this achieving?

    DCE to announce retierment

I don't see any players consistantly standing up to Melbourne or Penrith yet. Tommy turbo frustrates me in this regard cause of the combination between top teams mark him well and he seems to go into his shell against the top teams

    DCE to announce retierment

Not measuring by way of careers, but who i would take today ahead of DCE would be Cleary and Hughes as a no brainer, I dont rate Moses ahead of DCE at all, but I would go Hynes. As for another comment regarding best half back in 50 years, god how we forget Toovey. Des was very good also, but...

    DCE to announce retierment

I dont think there was any hate there Mark, nor was it intended, just my opinion. The poster did say he can see how I would come to that opinion, however he had another view on it, which is fine with me. I do think though it was more Tommy that got Manly further up the ladder or off the bottom...

    DCE to announce retierment

In the end, we have done nothing since 2014. As half-back and captain, he is a big part of that. So is overall recruitment . He is devisive with fans and his team mates, they either like him or take him with a grain of salt. He played very well in a strong side. As a leader, marquay player...

    2026 recruitment & retention

a fantastic side, and for all DCE's brilliance at times, he doesnt fit for me. I'd have Toovs or even Hasler, you always knew what you were going to get, they had brilliance and when it wasnt their day to shine, they were were still busting a gut and doing little wrong. And I couldnt imagine...

    Aussie V Tonga Final

And if they can determine if it's forward from a tap on, then they can determine it from a pass..... but nooo

    So far off the pace

I believe our attack can hum ok, its the defence that kills us. Those big leads we let go of in games, was due to being unable to wrestle back momentum, and what I really noticed most of all were our defenders were being beaten in the tackle. One or 2 players would be on the ground behind or...

    3 Favourite Current Manly players

I hear what you are saying in regards to loyalty, but this is just picking 3 fav players, doesnt mean we may not like 24 players out of the squad of 30. Look at DCE and Garrick who seem to be the most polarizing, some love them, some dont.....and that is fine. I still love Jake, but something...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Ideally as a footballer and fitness levels required in today's game, I'd suggest he would do well to give it up
