    This isn't correct - he apparently wanted out in 2024 but the club kept him. His current contract is valid until November 2025, so they're paying him his worth, they just didn't let him break his contract 1 season early.

    Yeah definitely get a vibe from that interview that Jake’s not too impressed with how DCE’s gone about it. Saying “if that’s how he wants to go about it then that’s on him” is a long way from “it’s his right to do what’s best for him & his family” etc.

    Interesting, but it sounds like the club were happy not to re-sign DCE & probably wouldn’t have had the salary cap to offer him what he wants anyway. So while Zorba believes DCE’s camp has misled the club, the club comes out with the result they were already preparing for - no DCE post 2025.
