    Aaron Schoupp

Is it possible Koula's injury from the Broncos game means he is out for an extended period? He was holding his shoulder a lot in the last 15 mins and looked clearly inconvenienced. Garrick moves back to FB. I have no knowledge but would explain the need for another back.

    Aaron Schoupp

I don't know a lot about Schoupp but if it means Garrick back to wing (will probably be Talau) and we don't need to see Vaega or Paulo in FG then I am ok with it. Question for me is: Is he a good defensive centre? However given the Titans long injury list at the moment why would they let him go?

Is Luke brooks the piece we’ve been missing

Happy with Brooks. He is an upgrade to what we had last year and earlier in the season when we were at full strength he looked/looks a good addition.

    Who should coach us

Flanagan - need a tougher edge / proper game plan.

[Resurrected] DCE is the worst halfback in the NRL

Far from the worst and still a very good halfback. Where he lets himself down, in my opinion is game management. Always been a factor. With Manly getting out to big leads there needs to be a plan that we then play the 1%'s. Kick to corners, defend well and force the errors. Nothing...

    2026 recruitment & retention

My understanding is that Talagi wants to play fullback. If that is the case we are zero chance. Crichton will want big $'s. We already have a marquee second rower in Ola on big $'s so I can't see that happening either. Unrealistic targets for mine.

    Juniors Discussion Thread

That is a good win. Jersey Flegg team are showing a fair bit of resilience. Quite a few of the SG Ball boys have come up as well which is good to see. A new player by the look of things as well in winger Kallum Weatherall-Stacey.

    Tom is a Myth

This is the elephant in the room and a huge issue for the club. I don't blame Tom in any way however his injury record and the fact he is only play at 80% capacity is 'hobbling' Manly. AND I don't know the solution. He is on $1M plus a year through to 2027 I think and yet unless he can get...

The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

Our inability to develop a defensive plan is a red flag for me. Its not just the rushing in of the outside backs. It is our try line defence as well. In every game this year, including Souths in Rnd 1 it felt like the opposition could score at anytime. We got rid of who Ithought was the...

    Pre-Game Dolphins V Manly [Round 10, 2024]

Phins just have to follow every other teams game plan to make it tough for us. Quick play the balls and exploit our poor defence/defensive reads out wide. Isaako may score a hat-trick. Question is can we outscore them?

What will turn Manly from a good side into a great side

Defence culture (like Penrith) and outside back defence e.g. not flying in off the wing leaving huge overlaps and a very good defensive centre (if one was available).

    Tom is a Myth

Turbo is playing at about 80% capacity. Even at 80% he is still pretty good. However where it really shows up is in cover defence and goal line defence. I would even extend to 'almost tries'. How many times in the last few weeks has Tom been tackled just short of the line - 2 to 3 times a...

    Turbo and origin in 24

Agree with most. Appears to playing at 75%-80%. And it is not just his running. His two tackle attempts on Sivo last Friday night was not Origin standard. They weren't even FG standard.

    State of Origin Team Predictions

I may have missed it but I am surprised Brooks name has not even been mentioned in the media. I have only heard Moses, Luia, Walker (with comments he is unlikely due to form), Burton and Hynes. I am not saying he should be the 5/8 but I think his form deserves some discussion.

    Post-Game Discussion Post-Game Discussion - Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

Watching the replay and the highlights what stood out was Garrick's defence. 3 tries scored from either poor reads or soft first contact. Not sure what is going on there however fix that and the scoreline would have been a lot more comfortable. Also as some have said turbo doesn't jump for...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Like this but wouldn't come cheap. At least $500-$600k per season. Not sure we can afford it.

    Jake Toby, what a shame

Agree with this. Saw him in a couple of Manly pre-season games and certainly a livewire in attack. Absolutely exposed under the high ball and NSW cup is his limit in my opinion. Has been around now for 3/4 years and hasn't cracked it yet. No way he makes the Storm team and wouldn't/shouldn't...

    Pre-Game Titans V Manly [Round 7, 2024]

I would swap Talau for Paulo and I think Lodge will start and Brown on the bench. BUT we know Woods will be in instead of GCKT.

    Lehi Hopoate

Think he becomes a very viable option later in the season, probably on the wing. Definitely see him in FG next year in some capacity and will provide good depth at FB, Wing and Centre.
