    I think you can argue Jake is ahead of Glenn at the same age, but not sure you can make the same case for Tom being better than Brett. Brett did some pretty freakish things even at a young age. For Glenn, imo having the great Jamie Lyon outside him made him look a better ball player than he was...

    Still making some silly errors and penalties, but can't fault the commitment in defence this week, similar to the effort first round against the eels. Was impressive watching them put in to cover any gaps and help each other in defence. Continue that commitment each week and we'll win a lot...

    But by that same argument, management would have been justified in punting tooves given he probably was on more $$ than Barrett? Which is something I disagree with emphatically.

    To be honest, we have been a bit harsh on him given that we thought tooves was hard done by with the injury toll last year. Barrett has had to navigate similar circumstances. The real test is next year.

    Best I can hope for is if the team at least tries to put in a decent effort in defence. We may not have the troops to score points, but surely if the players cared they can at least put a decent defensive effort.... Comes down to supercoach Barrett to motivate his troops....
