I don't know that there is/was any box seat. The tigers said he was free to go,just because the 2 clubs may have been interested in a swap deal means zilch if the players/managers don't agree to it. I and no one here has a clue as to what we or the Bulldogs would be willing to pay. English clubs...- Adz

To be fair I saw him take probably half a dozen solid hitups,not To'o or Tuipulotu type hit ups though. Never been sold on him when at Rabbitohs or Roosters,can do something brilliant and then do something that should be easy wrong. Hope he goes well next year,but get the feeling he will divide...- Adz

His general play has been solid tonight,not encouraging with catching the high ball. Doesn't look like a real instinctive player at times,not sure he beats out guys we have,not given much opportunity though,all the roosters play seems to be going to the left.- Adz

Didn't know where else to put it.. Looks like next year it will technically be a top 34. The 4 players designated as dev players will be able to play from round 1. All other second tier players will be available to play from round 11. Supposedly the Dev contract/second tier salary cap is $650K...- Adz

People laugh at this signing,but are probably the same people who love Jake and complain we don't have enough hard worker types in the pack. He is almost a clone of Jake,plays long minutes,runs for around 100 plus metres a game,makes 30 plus tackles a game(98.6 percent effective,rarely misses)...- Adz

The article seems to suggest that they don't actually have to sign a contract,just an intention to sign. It gives their club 10 days to up their offer without knowing what the rival offer is. I wonder if this is exactly what happened this year with the Fainus? Seems to just be giving the green...- Adz

Yeah,but they don't have to disclose any details such as number of years,amount etc .. That in itself seems a little wrong? I don't mind a player changing their mind,but it seems like it gives managers more ammo to screw over a club.- Adz

Not sure if reported before. WWOS is reporting a new 10 day Backflip Clause which gives managers even more power. Supposedly managers can let a club know that a client has signed for another club without giving details of the contract and then try to get their club to up their offer within 10...- Adz

Nah,they are just doing it the smart way. The same as the storm and roosters(yes,people disagree with the sombrero) and how we seem to be looking to approach it. They focus their main money on a core of players deemed necessary and let others walk. They hope that some stay around for a bit less...- Adz

2024 Rumoured and confirmed signings (NON-DISCUSSION THREAD).
This is excellent news,not being smart but he is not a lock,that is on the tigers page. He is a bit of a beast of a front rower. He is a big human,but pretty athletic and played well when given the chance in NRL this year. Loss for the Tigers as he looked better than Utoikamanu this year. Good...- Adz

It is an excellent spot to be in. From not being able to win a game without Tom to having an option like this is awesome. It is like the Roosters having Manu as their backup option to Teddy,rare spot to be in,just unfortunate that Tom is more injury prone than Teddy.- Adz

I once thought of Turbo into the centres way back,but now am not sure of it. His defence is too concerning,he shows a lack of willingness to put his body on the line. Pretty sure Funa is still playing Shute Shield out west.(Western Sydney Two Blues) He was released from Waratahs as didn't make an impact,would still be worth a train and trial contract. Edit:He did pull the pin after 2022 for the Two Blues,shame.....- Adz
