I think you’ve nailed Seibold’s thinking although I wouldn’t be surprised if Lehi starts and Talau goes to the bench. The other consideration is that Saab may not be fit for round one.
I’m equally annoyed about him leaving but this narrative around “letting him go” is made up. He chose to leave because he thought there was more opportunity to play first grade at Souths.
It’s a shame because he is a ready made DCE replacement

It was only a few seasons ago we were heavily criticised for our depth. If we got a couple of injuries in almost any position we were forced to bring in NSW Cup standard players and it would derail our season.

I like Arthur and you can’t question his effort. I just worry he doesn’t have the speed to be a running threat which makes him too predictable as an NRL half.
Interestingly I spoke with a Bunnies fan last night and he was livid they didn’t sign Lodge, thinking they are super light in the middle and he would’ve changed that. I was shocked because I think culturally he’s not the go. But interesting to hear that perspective.
No doubt Melbourne stand out, especially seeing they played a lot of last year without Munster or with him at half fitness.
