    Siua Taukeiaho Signs

I am OK with this signing. At the very least, we are replacing players like Woods and Condon with one who might have a higher ceiling, if he can stay fit.

    Bateman

Tigpies to run last next year: get money on it now. Basket Case. I've come around on Bateman: him angry and fired-up, wanting to make a point and cheap with shared freight, might be great for us for a year.

    Move Heaven and Earth...

It is comedy gold like this that makes me spend so much time here!! Thanks @Ron E. Gibbs !

    Tanah Boyd

I regard this as an astute move. We are basically replacing Jamie Humphreys with a rather similar player (similar age, a natural half who can also have a go at hooker) except that Boyd has miles more actual NRL experience and his background clearly says he was seen as a star of the future...

Bateman... no, no, no, no, no

This rumour is not exciting me. He is younger than I thought, but he sounds like a bit of a pain in the a** and the Tigers - currently in the process of setting some kind of a record for coming last - are desperate to get rid of him, which I feel like tells us a lot.

    What's worth streaming on TV.

Detectorists, great call out. Tremendous TV.

    [Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

Even for the sqEels their conduct re Gutherson is rather low and disappointing. Hopefully he has a moment this year to get Revenge on them.

    2024 GRAND FINAL

The bride and I will be watching down at a preferred local, it should be a great game. The two best sides of the year. It is great watching League played about as well as it can be, and as others have said it is a chance to note Manly's Improvement Areas without any pain.

    Lodge, you Monster

I wonder if he still might end up accepting some form of low $$ compromise deal and staying at Manly. His player history and recent injury run don't exactly make for inspiration. I won't be sorry if he goes. I was looking for something out of him in the Easts game, even in a beaten pack he...

    2024 SEMI FINALS

Exactly this. I remember some years back Joey Johns going off when QLD won an Origin game with Thurston playing injured and to paraphrase Joey, when you can see a guy is playing injured you show him he shouldn't be out there! Us, we not only let a guy play on with a known broken shoulder...

    Announcement The Long Offseason ahead

I understand (and this is per The Mole / Channel 9) that Manly is not in the player market this year, although I guess surprises may occur. One of my concerns is that we may find with generous good luck and a handful of great performances that we actually are in a premiership window.....but...

[Resurrected] Keith Titmuss death: Family turns to Australian Brain Bank

Thank you @Jethro . Wow. That is astonishing and dismaying. I think it is definitely the case that some persons are more susceptible to this terrible effect than others. But the degree of risk person-to-person is completely unforeseeable. I applaud the NRL for getting early into some...

    Turbo good to go

I agree. Last time I checked he had a Grade 3 ACL injury which is actually no laughing matter. First Kangaroos game is 28 October, I mean really? He needs to rest and recuperate or could risk that becoming worse. I think he must actually enjoy those painkillers!

    The scales of Reuben.

I would be the first to observe that statistics cannot be relied upon to tell you the whole story. But they are still where one must start. If you are looking into the eyes of little clumps of facts and logic that are waving at you, that is where you must start. And then you work out what are...

    The scales of Reuben.

This will be an unpopular opinion but I honestly believe Reuben, if he stays fit, will be in the elite class of centres next year and my preferred backine for next year would feature Garrick and Talau Centres, Saab and Koula Wingers. And I say that while liking Koula very much, it's not a...

    Josh Aloiai

Honestly I do like very much what Aloiai brings when he is truly fit, he really is an aggressive front-rower who will pick a personal opposing forward leader and go looking for him. But he also honestly is an even worse injury target than Lodge!

    2024 SEMI FINALS

The stars are aligned for Storm v Panthers, clearly. If the Panthers can bring again what they inflicted upon Easts in the first half a fortnight ago then no other team can stop them imo.

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

I honestly don't think Attack is our problem, certainly it isn't the one we have to fix first. Manly this year has scored more points and more tries than Penrith. That is not our problem. We rank 4th for missed tackles, 1st for ineffective tackles, 4th for errors and 13th for set completion...
