    Currently 16 degrees in Perth and very overcast. 3 mornings ago it was just 1.6 deg. BOM are saying showers increasing throughout the day but it hasn't rained here this week and the stadium ground is in good condition.

    I think you're confusing a knock-out with a knock-down. I've seen a number of MMA fighters that appeared to be KO'd, only to wake up as their head hits the canvas. Some of them have gone on to win when the ref gave them time to recover while they managed to "intelligently defend themselves".

    I can understand how it looked to the first timers. The vision of a fighter flat on their back with their arms by their side, still copping hammer-fists, is a brutal site. The fight isn't over until the ref waives it off. Kind of like playing to the whistle.
