    The AFL has been big on club membership for a long time. It will take alot of years for the the NRL to get anywhere near the numbers the AFL have now. The number of people who go to AFL games in Melbourne would be alot more than NRL in Sydney too

    This stuff would happen all the time especially in off season, most of the time you just don't hear about. It's not right but really just impossible to enforce by NRL. Managers and the like all just deny it and it's all unofficial
