    I fail to see how asking turbo to make 20+ tackles per game against big edge forwards and playing a roving 5/8 game is any easier on him. Keep him at full back and weigh up other options.

    Apart from the hooker he was the only one of the cowboys forwards to play the full 80 minutes so maybe the climate argument isn't valid. He also had a prop forward defending outside him in the centres for most of the game so probably had to pick up quite a bit of extra work in terms of lateral...

    Doug Laughton has died aged 80 A name probably not known to many on here, he played in the last GB team to win the ashes in 1970 and saw success as a player with St Helens, Wigan and hometown club Widnes (where I remember watching him as a young lad). He was probably an even better coach...

    Agreed. Also the captain's challenge has highlighted how many times players (and probably us fans) claim a call is wrong only for the ref to be proven correct. All replays should be in real time, you can find something wrong in just about every play if you watch it one frame at a time.
