We need to break contracts and offload a bunch of forwards if we are ever going to win a comp and we need to do it this year because we currently have a great set of backs. I’m sure we work on defence and are as fit as any club but ageing 100kg forwards don’t and can’t cut it anymore.
Maybe the disappointment is in that when you’re the club captain and been there for so long that maybe the club, players and supporters mean something to you. Maybe we like to believe it’s more than just about money.

Ok I get your point and I agree with what you say on the system. I think though he has gotten the reputation that would allow him to be successful at a lower club simply because players would play for him and attracted to the club.
So what exactly makes a great coach. Has done something no other modern coach has done and still people won’t give him credit? If he wins 10 in row will he get credit then?
I’m a bit over the contracts these guys are on argument affecting our performance. Just about all the successful teams have 2 or 3 guys on massive money. We are no different.

We don’t have the bench forwards. As soon as Lodge and Paseka go off we go nowhere and our backs can’t get into the game and utilise their speed. I’d be offloading Aloia and Sippley and Croker and sign lodge and I’m not sure what to do with Jake?

We dont seem to have the ability to slow the opposition forwards down. They simply march downfield most games and we simply rely on our speed or individuals to score points and win us games. How many of our forwards would make the top sides forwards?
Agree. I think we’re also not very good at the wrestle and slowing the play down. You really notice that part of the game when you watch Penrith and Melbourne play.
