Just on Dessie ... one thing that has always concerned me about his coaching ... is the fact that none of his assistants have ever gone on to greater things ... take Bellamy and Robinson .. their ex-assistants are littered throughout the NRL coaching ranks. Pretty good yardstick for a coach.- Woodsie

He was adamant about turning up ... because he was honouring his contract ... if he had been sacked as you state ... this wouldn't have been necessary ... he would just take the payout as outlined in the contract under early cancelation. I don't recall the club ever "negotiating" for a payout...- Woodsie

NO ... He wasn't relieved of his duties either ... he coached up until his contract expired . Had he been relieved of his duties or "sacked" as you suggest ... he would have been entitled to an immediate payout .. No semantics change the facts.- Woodsie
