    Sack Seibold Immediately

Not sure we would have done much better with Turbo at fullback today. Pretty sure he wouldn't have stopped that Tracey try. Then again, if Turbo wasn't defending so poorly at centre, he probably wouldn't have had to…

    Post-Game Discussion Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

I thought Navale was 18th man? In any case, Talau was not in the team.

    Post-Game Discussion Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

The difference being that he wasn't in the team today. He played reserve grade yesterday and did well.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

This has always been what's made Cherry such a maddening footballer for me. In tight, tough games like this was shaping up to be (and was for much of the game), he lets teams off the hook with poor kicks or poor options. Whatever efforts our players put in, they get nothing for it.

Game Day: Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

Everything bad about our first half - woeful fifth-tackle options, mistakes in possession - has been amplified in the second half so far. And we've lost Haumole on top of that. Not a great afternoon's work.

Game Day: Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

Too many mistakes in possession from us, and our fifth-tackle kicks have been very ordinary, but we are still well in this. If we can control the ball we could come home over the top of them.

Game Day: Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

Three wins in a row was heady enough territory for us, but four wins in a row? Dare to dream, boys! On form, I think we can get the job done. The Dogs' last two wins have been very scratchy ("lucky" might be the best word), and we've been building pretty well. Mind you, we had some luck...

    [Resurrected] Paseka

I think Sips has been doing a great job over the last few weeks, but yeah, if Paseka becomes available and we are on track to play finals, we need to get him some minutes. Just need to concentrate on actually making the finals first.

All NRL Games [Round 21, 2025]

The question for me is, why did they even need help? I could see Squid James was well offside before the ball was even kicked. As the ball was up in the air I thought, "They got the timing wrong there. Won't matter what happens, this will be called offside." Both commentators agreed. But the...

Nik Kosef on Chiming in EP023

Sadly, Ranga, the older you get, the less chances you get to meet Beaver. Trust me on this…

    Pre-Game Bulldogs V Manly [Round 21, 2025]

Iron Roberts! Is he any relation to Iron Butterfly? Or I. Ron Hubbard? Auto-correct throws up some beauties, doesn't it? He will always be Iron Roberts to me from now on.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Funniest part in all of this is that Roosters' fans (yes, all three of them!) really, really don't want Cherry at their club. Could be an interesting season for him over there. As long as he keeps putting in for Manly for the rest of the season, the fact this "news" is coming out now should...

    Will Croker be back?

Said this elsewhere, but this transcription is wrong. What Seibs actually said is, "Jake DOESN'T have a mark on his face. Obviously, like Nelson's a big man, so he copped, you know, a fair elbow from Nelson, so he was, um, you know he stayed down because of that. But he wasn't concussed. Yeah...

Except we've challenged that with the NRL. Cat 1 was called by the independent doctor. But our doctor, who actually examined Simpkin after the incident (where he passed his HIA test), said there was no concussion. Fingers crossed that sanity prevails, although sanity is not a hallmark of the NRL.

How many wins to make the 8?

I mean, it's better than not making the eight. And any finals experience our players get has to be good for them.

    Des Hasler retiring

When you put it that way, I'm happy for the Titans to get any wins that could benefit us.

Here's hoping it stays that way.

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

It was mentioned after the game (by DCE?) that this was a deliberate strategy. The fact we even had a deliberate strategy - let alone an effective one - was a pleasant surprise. And it's been noted over the last few weeks that we appear to have adjusted our style of play along with moving...
