    I’d have DeLuis ahead of Siro and Sipley. Defence wins big games and he is excellent defensively. We need someone else to plug the middle apart from Jake and croker. Sipley will cost us in the finals - he just can’t move laterally.

    We played not to lose. We were clearly playing a game where we had the concern of just getting through without injury and suspension. It showed in the performance. I’m not worried in the slightest by it.

    They misrepresented Pearce when they said it was his "brainchild". The innovations committee = lets justify our positions by continually tweaking the game until we totally destroy it. That thread just keeps getting pulled by these neurologically challenged individuals.

    I agree that the ten year contract business is a mistake; however, I’m also aware of managers pushing the most favourable case for their clients. Maybe that is what is happening as you mentioned. Plus contract extensions being negotiated now for other players and new targets will likely project...

    True; however, it may be more a matter of opportunity cost and not wanting to pay overs by getting into a bidding war. They are likely weighing up the expected cost of outbidding all rivals against the opportunity of locking in Haas and/or other priority targets.

    Yeah, from the injury update it sounded like both might return against the cowboys, which might mean Marty gets a rest before finals. I thought Des might rest a player or two this week but that seems unlikely now unless he shuffles things around as we get closer to Sunday.
