    NRL Games [Round 2, 2025]

I think they’ll do enough to avoid it. But perhaps we will see how much of a difference Wayne Bennett can make. (I’m hoping for a roosters spoon).

Both teams have clear deficiencies. Doesn’t mean we will beat them though!

    NRL Games [Round 2, 2025]

Every team needs an honest toiler like Mark Nicholls. Good play by Katoa. Will be interesting to see how much he develops.

    Just Making up the numbers?

I’d phrase it slightly different: The problem is that the finals are refereed to a different standard. The two finals we played last year should help with our guys knowing what to expect.

Love Reacher! But hate having to wait a week for a new episode…

    NRL’s top 50 players (SMH)

Brian To’o is top 10 in my list and I was shocked to see him only at 25th. It’s all opinion at the end of the day. They’ve placed a premium on some one offs (Moses SOO) and discounted a body of quality work from others (e.g Teddy and Munster). Haas, in my view, is still rated on what he could...

    Navren Willett

Good debut from the young fella. Thought he might have shown a bit more toe when in the clear the way he has been talked up. A long way to go, but definitely a start to build on.

    Trial V Wabbits

I enjoyed the offloads! Thought Waddell was strong; Chee Kam not so. James with a few inspiring runs. Arthur’s kicking game seems lacking so far, but he has set the line speed in defence on his edge, which I love to see. His ball playing is decent too.

    Trial V Wabbits

Humphreys named at 6 for the Rabbits. No Schuster. I’m looking forward to the gnashing of teeth on here when Humphreys plays well against a NSW Cup team in the first trial of the year.

    Jacob Arthur

I rate him and he is in my 17 to start the year (probably the no.14). To my way of thinking, we need competitors and Arthur competes on every play. He won’t ease his way into the season - he missed too much footy last year and has a contract to play for. He’ll be desperate.

Announcement 2025 Tipping competition Feedback Request

I’m fine with the $30 fee for the tipping comp. I’ve mentioned this before, but a tipping comp + premium membership bundle might also be attractive for some. Eg $50 for both.

    Preseason 24 - 25

I’m a bit concerned we have not been informed that at least player is “training the house down” yet. Must be bludging!

    Turbo Australia

If my memory serves me correctly, his employer is the NRL. Same as for all players, which is why the NRL can mandate that players must make themselves available unless there is a valid reason. I agree with you that his form does not warrant selection.

Manly great Anthony Watmough savages club over plan to offload juniors, women’s programs

Buzz didn’t name who is alleged to have leaked to the media, but if it is proven an employee did, I have no problem with their employment being terminated.

    2025

The big item I am watching this off season is DCE’s potential retirement. He is contracted until the end of 2025, so I am expecting a 12 month extension or he calls time to give us an opportunity to plan for life after DCE. In terms of positional and team changes, I think they have been well...
