I don’t get the last part of that article. If Manly had intentions to move him into a head coaching role in 27’, they’d be giving him the more hands on role next year in preparation. I can hardly see the relationship splitting up in the interests of bringing him back a year later to start all...

All NRL Games [Round 27, 2025)

He’s a great club footballer in a fantastic system. However, he’s very light and unless he’s got space to work in, he’s ineffective. His kick returns are pretty terrible.

Yes and no. It’s a new injury but it was caused because his shoulder was clearly not right so he kept using his arms to tackle instead of his shoulders. Recipe for disaster. His arm was out like a turnstile; bound to break something with that tackling technique.

I think Garrick will be a big loss to our culture. We are short on passionate competitors and he is a genuine leader amongst the group. Character is just as important as ability and Garrick’s character is an integral part of the club. In saying that, it sounds like he intends to leave...

Who cares about Waleham. He’d struggle to beat Matt Lodge in a 40m dash. He only played FG because he was at the Dogs and Tigers when they were complete basket cases.

    Joey Walsh

I’d like to see him get more than 10-15 minutes. It can be difficult to come on and play such limited minutes, as there’s a tendency to want to make something happen before it’s all over; Dylan Walker’s SOO career springs to mind.

I just imagined Daly getting the guitar out and railroading the team video sessions with ‘free love on the free love freeway!’

I’m not sold on the Ballin idea. Great player but he was sacked very quickly from his head coaching role at Manly a few years back. Something about his persona reminds me of Barrett…he doesn’t scream passion.

    Aloiai Gone

I don’t care about his stance on pride, but he’s just an average middle of the road prop that is perpetually injured and overpaid, so see ya later. Nothing personal.

I could just as easily ask you where your evidence is…neither of us have any and if I’m really honest, I’d love to know what I meant support with evidence…I thought it was clear from the low modality of my language that I wasn’t suggesting facts. I’m not even bothered with the reason for his...

No to Monaghan. He’s followed Des around during a very lean period; I doubt it’s been much of an apprenticeship.

That’s a shame because I think he’s going to be very good. I’m disappointed to miss out on this opportunity.

I think where this ‘honourable’ argument falls apart is evinced in the 100% Footy broadcast. That caused all sorts of problems and wasn’t the respectful and ‘honourable’ way to go about it. I agree he’s had a falling out and I suspect it was to do with Hasler’s treatment. Either way, he doesn’t...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

He’s the master of spinning media narratives and the club captain. It’s just a PR line and nothing more. I think he doesn’t rate Seibs and didn’t like how Des was treated by the club after the Pride saga and saw an opportunity to set himself up inside a club that can offer more post-football...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

I reckon he’ll end up at Cronulla. Suddenly there’s an opening with Hannay off to the Cows. It’s where his heart lies and he’d be good mates with Fitzy.

I think it says he wasn’t part of the succession plan we were all lead to believe was happening behind closed doors. If he was, you can bet he’d have got his ‘more responsibility’ role at Manly in 26’. I’m sure you’re probably right that he’s gunning for something in 27’ but it won’t be at Manly.

    Jason Saab

I don’t get worked up about other people’s opinions on the forum very often or like to think of myself as superior in my analysis but one of the most dumbfounding and frustrating experiences I’ve had on this forum concerns Koula and Talau. How anyone could ever think Talau was a better option...

    Jason Saab

He’s not up to it; move him on. I’d take Clayton F over Saab. How often will a winger be required to use their speed beyond a quick burst to the line? Rarely. The reality is acceleration over 10-30m trumps Saab’s ability to run quickly in a straight line after an initial period of winding up...

    DCE Memories

Yes, I think 98 tries speaks to his ability to support. It’s a shame he had to pass to Schoup for the try the other night. He’d be on 99 with a shot at 100 tries for Manly on Friday night. I’d love to see him get a double! Anything is possible!
