    Sack Seibold Immediately

You need forwards that can move, to defend like the Dogs and Panthers. Lodge was taken off after 15 minutes today; he was absolutely out on his feet and couldn’t get to marker and was repeatedly the last player back in the defensive line; no coach can turn him around, no matter how good.

Seibs should be culpable for recruiting garbage though.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

Our five highest earners: Tom=busted Jake=busted DCE=jumping ship Paseka=injured Olakau’atu=injured It’s easy to see why we are struggling a bit…but…we’ve also got a coach that thought signing a whole lot of deadwood to supplement those high earners was a better idea than bringing through a...

    Sack Seibold Immediately

I’m in the same boat. Today was breaking point. I don’t mind when we try and get beaten by a better side but I know enough about football now to see when coaching is part of the problem. He’s recruited the wrong type of footballer (dumb) and we keep persisting with this sideways attack with...

    Most underwhelming Manly EVER

I went to the game today and it was our worst loss for a very long time. We’ve been beaten by bigger scores but the way we squandered every opportunity we were given with insipid attack, paired with some of the worst arm grabbing defence I’ve seen (looking at you Saab, DCE and Turbo), leaves me...

    Jason Saab

Saab’s carries are back to what they used to be; crap. Any improvement has been offset by a regression this year.

    2026 recruitment & retention

We should be able to afford three times as expensive in a position that needs attention. If the Dogs are chasing Tino as suggested and we can’t afford Corey Paix, someone has seriously dropped the salary cap ball at Manly.

    2026 recruitment & retention

Corey Paix would be better than Turpin. On the Bulldogs website, the write up for Turpin’s player profile says he is ‘reliable’. That’s a term used when you can’t think of anything nice to say but you need to keep things positive.

    Jason Saab

He probably got sick of seeing Saab drop the ball and gave up on the tactic. Saab can jump but that’s where the comparison with the likes of Coates and Tupou finishes. They bring down and/or tap on for multiple tries a season; Saab might land one or two a year.

The most interesting thing in that article is the final statement from Penn re Micheal Ennis. He says it’s been discussed so that’s proof it’s not just a rumour in the media. He also says there is no ‘immediate pressure’ with the succession plan. That tells me it’s probably on the cards when the...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

There’s a shred of truth in this; of course he should have had a defender tight on his inside but watch the play again and you’ll see the ruck speed was significant, paired with Fog going deep into the line. DCE can’t help all that, but… He can choose to put his body on the line within the...

    Tom Trbojevic was a Legend

Tom needs the burst of speed to be destructive and he has lost it. He’s still a smart footballer and can be effective, but that’s not the same thing as destructive.

    Pre-Game Tigers V Manly [Round 24, 2025]

Unpopular opinion but I like Garrick to centre. Hoppa is definitely in our best 17 and without Olakau’atu on the right, we need Garrick’s attacking skills to create a threat. I think it’s our best backline.

Any that can run, tackle and pass.

    Manly Attacking Formula ?

Statistics don’t show a correlation between offloads and success. The Tigers are the biggest off loaders in the NRL. The Knights have almost as many as the Bulldogs. Admittedly Manly are towards the bottom but so are Brisbane (a team entrenched in the 8).

    2026 recruitment & retention

He's a plodder. He has a hairpiece that is embarrassing and that's before he stirs up the opposition pack and is smashed in front of the opposition supporters who take great delight in shaming our fans. It happened again the other night; he got stuck into the verbal and argy bargy and was put on...

    Manly Attacking Formula ?

I agree, although I don't necessarily think offloads are the key; rather, moving forwards in numbers and having a 9 that can provide a threat and/or put forwards into space around the ruck, is integral to sucking defenders into the middle. The other issue is our middles are not that effective at...

    Tom Trbojevic was a Legend

I think it's a bit of both; I can't argue with the facts and they are no premierships and a career littered with injuries (unfortunately, durability is part of the package that makes a champion). In saying that, I don't think he just looked good because he was in a crap team and just had one...
