Taking the 2 Points from Penalties

Sorry, the 2 points there is irrelevant. We scored two tries to go 26 -12. The biggest decision was the overrule by the bunker, when Robson was offside from the kick. How he could say that the run and the pass equaled 10 metres is beyond me. Especially as the ref called no try initially. Also...

    [Resurrected] Flat Track Bullies

The refereeing in the Eels game was bordering on cheating; Cummins missed a metre forward pass in the last couple of minutes that would have saved us. Let alone every other decision he gave them in the final 10 minutes.

    SOO, Jake, DCE, general discussion

So zero penalties to NSW, but QLD holding down and 3rd man in all day. If NSW gets a fair shake in the 2nd half should win this.

    Post-Game Discussion Eels v Manly [Round 11, 2022]

We did do some dumb things; but we were stitched up in the second half. Unless u r one of the favoured teams like Parra, u have to do everything right to win. I am over the NRL and the way matches are orchestrated. After 50 years as a Manly supporter I won’t be watching any more games this year.

Game Day: Manly v Broncos [Round 10, 2022]

Not that it matters tonight, but Cobbo never got back to the goal line, so should have been a penalty.

    Marty

No excuse to throw that pass before halftime; we just got a 4 point lead playing with 12 and any slim chance to go on with it in the second half went out the window. As our most experienced forward should have known better, and if he’s unhappy then play some of the younger brigade as we’ve done...

If we had 2 x DCE

As bad as Harper was last night, it’s no coincidence that teams target our right side defence, which is led by DCE. Our left side defence is much more solid, and even though Koula will make a big difference ongoing we still need to address these issues. Also, our attack looked so much better...

DCE and Foran. Is it working?

As much as it pains me to say it, I don’t see us winning a premiership with DCE at number 7. Despite being our most experienced player, he t as led too many wrong options, doesn’t put enough pressure on the opposition with his kicks, and I think his decision making in defence on the right side...

    Post-Game Discussion Penrith v Manly [Round 1, 2022]

Throw in Croker and with the exception of Turbo, our spine is way off the pace. Penrith are the benchmark team, and the concern is not losing in week 1, but it’s a repeat of our performances against the top teams that suggests we are slow learners( that includes the coach).

    Post-Game Discussion Penrith v Manly [Round 1, 2022]

Penrith obviously the better team, but the bias/incompetence of this ref is mind blowing.

Game Day: Penrith v Manly [Round 1, 2022]

I’ve said it before that DCE needs to be hooker, provided Schuster is back soon. Also need to look at some of the younger forwards like Tuitavake.

Game Day: Penrith v Manly [Round 1, 2022]

We did show resilience given the possession but shows how well Penrith is coached given they don’t have their best player. We are lacking at dummy half badly and Jake doing all the tackling in the middle.

If Croker can do "THIS" - will be Massive Boost

If Manly really wanted to up the ante in terms of their spine, they should move DCE to hooker and Foran as the 7 and Schuster 5/8. Croker could come off the bench to relieve DCE and we would be much more threatening around the middle off the park, as well as utilising Schuster’s ability in attack.

A lot of conjecture .. for no answers

When I look back at our best win against a decent side, it was the win at Bankwest against Parra when they were flying high. Schuster had a blinder that day, and should be 5/8 next year. I know it won’t happen but DCE at sunny half would give us more potency around the ruck and could still...

    Pre-Game Manly v Roosters [Finals Week 2, 2021]

Just watched a replay of Roosters Titans; aside from butchering the end of the game, Roosters had most of the crucial decisions. However, my take is they rely heavily on Tedesco and Radley for their points, and if we can show any resolve, the game should be in our hands. I can see why the...

    GF, make your call

For us to make the GF we have to beat Melbourne on Friday; puts Melbourne in same side of the draw as Penrith, and would give us a great chance to win the comp, especially having the week off as well. If we lose Friday, then I can’t see us making it. Too many hard games to win in succession.

    Other games [Round 24, 2021]

That can only happen if they lose to Cronulla next week; can’t see that happening, assuming Panthers beat Tigers and Eels.

    Pre-Game Manly v Bulldogs [Round 24, 2021]

It’s hard to win by 12 when you score zero points
