    IF Mestrov is the messiah then he will somehow find a way to right the ship between now and next season. Only way that happens is: some smart signings (FWDS), a change of coach and/or assistants. Time will tell.

    I feel the pain and hard to argue with most posters in the last few days/weeks. However Aloaia, Croker, Jake, Paseka, Brown and Haumole would certainly add a bit of starch to the defence. I think we only need 1/2 decent, young agile forwards to make an immediate difference.

    Well that is bloody depressing. Hard to fathom really with DCE leaving, Aloaia leaving, Sipley leaving, Jazz + maybe a few others. I did not expect 'elite' signings but I did expect a few diamonds in the rough and a couple of younger, mobile Props/Middles.

    General consensus is that we need a Prop (or two) and a Lock. We are reported to be signing a winger and a utility. I don't mind Wilson as a player but not sure if that is where we need more depth particularly with Faulolo resigning although there were reports Ray V is not being resigned.

    Agree. Minimum 40 - 50 minutes. If he gets the usual 10 - 15 mins then no way of knowing what his overall impact could be e.g. aerobic capacity, particularly after 15 - 20 mins.

    I too keep clicking on here in the hope for some signing news. Looking at potential links/players available the pot seems pretty dry: Crosby, Brayley (Jaiden), Hetherington (Knights not Broncos), Hamlin-Uele, Garner, Hassett. Any others?

    No I didn't know that. Interesting. Would also be interested to know how many tackles made/missed at fullback. Lehi has played less games there. All I know is Lehi has stopped some dead set try's with his goal line defence. Can't remember turbo making too many.

    Turbo has become a turnstile in defence. He used to save tries with last ditch plays. That is a thing of the past. Lehi much more dependable defensively.

    Can he tackle? Score was pretty even on Firday night until DCE decided to start arm grabbing in defence. I can't imagine the captain defending meekly inspired the boys much.

    Agree Turbo is cooked and his best behind him. Think long and hard however which fullback would you currently have him in front of him?

    In my mind if you move Jake to prop, Jazz to lock, Simpkins to hooker and Lodge to the bench even tonight's side looks better balanced. But agree, once it is mathematically impossible lets play Hart, Navale, Zaidas and Laifia to see what they have got with an eye to next year.
