We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

Does anyone believe Ennis even wants to be a head coach? It’s pretty rare for media personalities to give up the privileged lifestyle that comes with broadcasting, to face the pressure cooker of first grade coaching; not to mention the hours that the job demands.

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

Everyone knows what stepping down really means. Remember when Trent Barrett did it at the Bulldogs? It’s a publicity stunt designed to protect the dignity of all concerned. If you want, I can run the spoon through a bandsaw and Seibs can have half and Gentle can take the other off cut.

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

I agree with you as to the reasons we spread the ball and I agree that it's a fault of the coaching staff. But it's not working, so lets try something else. We're flogging a dead horse. I'd like to see our halves play straight and at the line; put someone in between defenders and play for some...

We keep talking about changing the team ... what about this lot?

I think a lot of the defensive issues stem from our attacking mindset. I noticed we started OK the other night but after Garrick’s soft try, we kept throwing the ball around like it was a game of touch football and I think it impacts on the side’s willingness to engage physically in the battle...

We are Laughing stock of the NRL

Yeah I’m no Seibs hater but he had a lot to do with that spoon. Just because he wasn’t head coach at the back end of the year, he still had a significant role to play in the outcome of the season. Just being sacked mid year causes all sorts of problems.

Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

The semi final against the Dogs secured his future and it was announced in the off season.

    Jason Saab

I think Talau is better than Faulalo and should be Saab’s replacement when Hoppa returns.

    New coach Poll

Put some youth around them and be OK with maybe not winning a comp for a few years. Instead, he tried to put an experienced pack of bargain buys around them and the results speak for themselves. I have it on good authority that Brooks was purchased and Latu Fainu was let go because Seibs...

    New coach Poll

One of the problems I see with Manly's appointment of Seibold is he's clearly not interested in building something. He went all in on the Trbo's and DCE to win him a premiership. Now the Trbo's are broken and DCE has flown the coup and we're left with nothing.

I don’t agree but each to their own.

All NRL Games [Round 15, 2025]

I actually think it’s common sense to award the Roosters that try. If you slow something down enough, you can find separation in almost every grounding. I’m with Andrew Johns. Replay at full speed and unless you see a knock on, award the try.

All NRL Games [Round 15, 2025]

Foketi, a 10 game rookie for the Chooks, offers more than anyone else in our pack. Amazing athlete.

    New coach Poll

It’s been said so many times on these boards, but we have a wooden spoon quality pack of forwards. Unfortunately, a number of them were recruited by Seibs. He may or may not be able to coach. He sure as hell can’t recruit though. I hated the Woods signing. I hated the Brown signing. I hated the...

    New coach Poll

Tooves was sacked because he aligned himself with the Quantum side of the board. When they were paid out, Penn went about removing those in opposition. Hasler and Penn have hated each other for years. They put their difference aside for as long as possible, but ultimately couldn’t ride it out...

    Jason Saab

Saab is the biggest gumby in the NRL. Soft hit ups. Drop balls. No game awareness. Laddish attitude. Occasionally catches a bomb or a torches a slow winger with some speed. I'd send him packing if I were Manly. The end.

    New coach Poll

I think there is zero chance that Seibs is about to get the sack. It's rock bottom for Manly fans but it's not rock bottom by comparison with what it usually takes for a coach to be punted in the NRL. Still, if I had to choose, I'd take Holbrook. I thought he did well with the Titans and was...

Tom Turbo .. interesting if true

I’d love to know how he can go from looking big, strong, and fast for Australia 6 months ago, to now slow and incapable of making a tackle break. He’s had an MCL and a cork injury; surely they don’t suddenly render a player completely incapacitated. It’s a remarkable collapse in a very short...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

It will be hilarious if no one wants him anymore…or at least no one wants him for 750k +. He was very smug in the way he communicated his intentions with veiled swipes at Manly. It was cocky. If he ends up having to take 500k to play for the Titans, it will be very funny.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

The Fogarty signing would have given it away…or if he kept the club in the dark, the Fogarty signing wouldn’t happen at all. His decision to leave in the first place, blew up the season. His decision to announce it via 9, was disrespectful.
