I agree i wouldn't want to lose buhrer out of the top 17 he is really underrated and towards the back end of the season (before he did his ribs) he was amongst our best. He will improve every year and I reckon we won't see him peak until 2015. Let's hope he is still in maroon and white.

DCE should command the highest wage in the NRL at his next contract if he keeps playing this way and improving which he will. My guess we will have to come up with around $1 million a season to be able to keep him.

That's what Easts will have to pay Shane Hayne to keep him.

If true that would seem to be a fair indication of where the salary cap is heading in the wrong direction with clubs clearly lifting topline player salaries to disproportionate levels.

The marquee player allowance clauses will need to be adjusted to compensate.
