2019 Casualty Ward

Trent thinks like you and he had him in his top 30 last season and Des thinks like me and he has excluded him out of his top 30 where he belongs
.

Wrong, I don't think like Barrett in any way and that should be obvious from my disagreeing with his strategies many times as they happened.
The rules are different to when Barrett was in charge and that is what you seem to have a problem understanding. Devel players will be chosen to be mid season cover and options, as Des appears to be doing with his choices.

29 players will be chosen to get us through the march 1- june 29 period then coaches will have access to another 7 players on july 1 to replace failed experiments, underperforming expectations and injuries.

Devel players will now be VERY important to a full season TEAM.
They will not necessarily be "demoted" players or players in NEED of "development" but will be part of a 36 man squad that train together all year to enable best team performance through the 26+ weeks.

I would not have him in my 30 this year but would be in my july 1 36. He WILL provide valuable cover and option. He would have been golden only being available after june 30 last year.

Des thinks outside the box and it's pretty obvious who else does between you and me mate. No offence..

Yes it is each to their own and this is where I am coming from
Some critical words one here like cancer are used only as a figure of speech
that is ;
A figure of speech is a word or phrase that possesses a separate meaning from its literal definition. It can be a metaphor or simile, designed to make a comparison. It can be the repetition of alliteration or the exaggeration of hyperbole to provide a dramatic effect.

Or, you could simply not refer to young kids plying their trade ( however inadequately in your opinion ) as "cancers".

I know which is simpler.

I felt a bit for Croker last season
His defence imo is definitely up to NRL standards and made a few key 1 on 1 stops
He is told to simply play controlled footy in attack to give DCE the reins and often looked confused as to overplay his hand....I think he had more to offer
Not pretending he is an amazing attacking player, but feel he has more than he got the opportunity to show until again, injury killed his season
In saying this, very happy to have Elgey here in 2019....I recall his form when he burst into the NRL and playing behind a good go forward, anticipate he will unleash a Great running game and be The starting 5/8 100%

Kids ?
Lets put this in perspective .
The League do not allow young children to play in the NRL .
20 year olds go to war as soldiers and dodge more than criticism they dodge bullets .

You really need to speak to some grown-up and have them explain the difference between criticism ... and insulting, belittling and abuse ...

... but here is a tip in the right direction ..... saying someone is not a first grader or lacks the necessary skills, or that you think their defense is shiithouse ... that is criticism ....

.. Calling someone a cancer or a disgrace to the Jumper ... that is insulting, belittling and abusive .......

No one abuses the Manly jumper and I will call it as I see it .
