Don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but cards falling nicely for 2019 recruitment.

Big challenge will be to keep the talent coming through the ranks.

Would say goodbye to:
- Brown
- D Lussick
- J Lussick
- M Wright
- J Wright
- Winterstein
- Uate (purely on cost grounds and not to block up and comers, such as Anderson/Funa)

Recruit:
- top line 5.8th from another club
- then resign and upgrade Perrett/ Tanginoa / Lane / Hastings / Kelly / goweski
- Finalise Api / Sirro deals

That makes a very good, settled squad.

Lachlan Croker is off contract after this year.. Wouldn't you keep him?

If Croker goes well i think we will stick with him,, as he and Dce will be even better together as time goes on. M Wright , Brown , J Lussick , Winterstein will all be let go agree totaly . Darcy may stay depends on his year ahead.

Agree but I fear we will need to shed more than just those guys to meet all the upgrades that will be required to keep who we want.

If we have a BIG year those upgrades will be even higher to keep the wolves at bay.

It's going to be very difficult to nigh impossible without 2 million worth of TPA's like some other clubs have.

If the rumours are true and we currently have 1M locked up by the investigation, then when cleared, will go a long way in keeping most of the squad.

Alot of big players are signed up for next season already (DCE, Turbos, Kapow), so its filling in the pieces. If croker is travelling well you could expect the club to lock him in early. Obvisously with money left in this years cap you forward the extensions to alleviate next years cap.

Yep, will definitely help. 1 mill will probably cover upgrades for 5, 6 or 7 guys. I'm guessing it's more like 800k we have left and there are probably going to be ANOTHER 5-10 guys requiring upgrades. 3 or 4 of our brighter young prospects coming off contract COULD attract big attention from rivals significantly raising the cost to keep them as well.

This is all hypothetical obviously but plans for all possibilities will need to be drawn.
