A good Omen?

I am currently holidaying in Coffs Harbour and I went with my family to the beach today. I have gone many times before, so I thought it would be nothing different. Just as we got in the water, I saw a massive Sea Eagle fly over our heads. My mother reminded me it was New Years Eve. Is it a sign for what is to come in 2016?

When I was watching the scenery, flying out from Coolangatta on the 1st, a Sea Eagle tapped the window with his wing, winked at me, then mimicked lifting a trophy.
I winked back.
