Over here in Sendai Japan for a holiday and came across their local baseball team the Rakuten Eagles. I'm taking that as a good omen for this weekend. Hope I'm right

Well done Bulli. According to wiki, they are the golden eagles, with colours of crimson, white and yellow. Crimson is close enough to maroon for me, but they need to ditch the yellow. Seem relatively successful, having made the “climax series” a few times, which sounds exciting.

Speaking of omens - in round 12 2021, Ben Trbojevic made his NRL debut on a bitterly cold day in Newcastle. He was knocked out in the first run he made and carried off the field. We lost.
Dunno why I thought of that today.

Talking of omens I was driving my car and just before I got home two wheels fell off, didn’t think much of it until I watched tonight’s game.
