Just picking the young fella up from school (we're west of Toowoomba) small school. And the AFL have a bloke in running drills with the Prep kids. I heard him say he'll be here for 6wks (Fridays). I've never seen any rugby league stuff ever come through the schools.
Could come back to haunt in a few years!

The AFL’s Auskick program has been in schools in QLD for at least 20 years and given I haven’t seen a League equivalent in that time,at some stage,it must have an impact. Its a great set up by the AFL and from experience,it’s great for the kids.League/NRL is going terrific at the moment but that’s at the highest level and the bosses of the game over the last 10-15 years have had the attitude of building the game from the top down. Not sure it’s the best model, but they know better than me.Just seems to be a lot of neglect for the base of the game
