In the wake of rise for Alex round, the Tigers will be donating $5 per ticket for Simon Dwyer in a later round. I think it would be awesome if we could do something similar for Richie Fa'aoso and his family. Even though he wasn't with us for long. He gave it 110% every game and I'll always remember him as a Manly boy.

Pretty sure that Richie was covered under the Medical Insurance that currently exists in the NRL. He had to stay away from contact Sport, but otherwise no long term issues.

But it would be great to hear how he is doing though

Long term care for Simon and Alex is the type of injury that the NRL currently do not have cover for.

I like the idea and that should happen for all players forced to retire because of serious injury.

Its a good idea, if there was insurance well and good but a player who breaks his neck charging at the line for our club deserves support, especially when it was well-publicised that he was really struggling in the wake of that injury.
I'd like our club to be one that goes the extra mile for its players.

Yeah it would be good to get an update on Richie. I recall he had that driving/domestic violence offense due to facing some depression over his career ending injury.

He busted his neck to get us into a grand final. That deserves something more than a 'thanks' from every one of us.

Headline.......Ritchie Fa'Oso not really injured, faking it to get release from the Sea Eagles.

Just kidding, this is a great idea for a real salt of the earth bloke.

The NRL should have had an insurance scheme operating since 1998.
