This is how I see our season and mainly our losses.
Rd 1 – Tigers - lead at half time only to fall apart in the second half = 2 points that got away.
Rd 2 – Parra - Dito to round one. This is another 2 points that got away.
Rd 7 – Titans – We had the game 22 – 12 with 10 to go again we fell in a heap. This is another 2 points that got away.
Rd 10 – Parra again and at Brookie – weird but a game we were really never in it. Came back from 12 – 0 down to be 12 – 12 but we threatened but never got there. A genuine loss this one
Rd 13 – A big loss to the Broncos at Brookie – we were never in this game and lost it by 18 points.
Rd 14 – A smacking by the Titans at Brookie and loss by 14 point. A big chance to move into the top 4 but alas we didn’t.
Rd 16 – A chance to move into the top 4 but an ass whipping by Panthers – Horror game.
Rd 18 - A loss to the Raiders at Fortress Brookie and as Phil Gould would say “no no noâ€Â. This win would have moved us into the Top 4 but this is another 2 points that got away.
Rd 21 – A chance to almost close out a top 8 position and we dead set choked – effort was poor and again we just didn’t stand up. This is another 2 points that got away.
It seems when we look like moving into the top 4 the team just cant take that next step.
Losses to the Titans, Parra, Broncs and Raiders at Brookie is what is killing us.
But in saying that we did beat $torm before the truth came out, we smashed the perennial chokers Dragons at Brookie and we have also beaten the Rabbits X 2, Sharks X 2, Warriors, Knights, Tigers and Cowboys.
If you say we are flying under the radar we are because of the current top 4 we have only beaten the Dragon with one loss and win against the Tigers.
